I agree on Lewis. I always thought he wasn’t coached right. I thought he was tough and a bulldog out of Michigan but never materialized

Interesting premature reaction going on here......all because a couple fan/poster favorites have signed with other teams. Some are already calling our free agency a failure and that's nonsense, especially this early. Recall last year damn near every poster/fan begged Stephen to sign Everett Griffin for weeks and he finally did we know how that turned out. Look, I understand some have their free-agent pet cats but there are still a lot of damn GOOD/QUALITY players still out there. Just me, but it's waaaaay to early pull out the we-are-not-helping the defense card.

Its REALLY difficult to have messed up scouting a player THAT badly when he can't even last a full season.

King, Heyward from that list. Rhodes? He really seems to have fallen from his high plateau a few years ago.

I'd be all over Desmond King - he can be your single high safety, and can be a slot corner in the nickel or dime packages.

Yes it's early but considering Dallas' prior signings, why would anybody have any faith Dallas will do well this year either? I try to be positive, but considering the history, the best I can do is be neutral...

This is such a dumb take, and you're not alone. He is a starting-caliber CB.

CB is the greatest measuring stick of how little football other than the Cowboys people on this board watch.

So we lost Thomas to the Texans, Awuzie to the Bengals, and on the team site they show Erving going to the Panthers, though I have not seen a thread on it yet.
We signed McQuaid from the Rams.

Not sure what the contracts are if the qualify for comp picks, but so far we would be at 2. Not that id matters at this point.

We resigned Dak, Brown, and tendered Carter, A. Woods and Wilson.

History also shows people make this same post year after year only to end up with egg on their face. The Cowboys suck at FA. There is no shame in admitting that. They likely won't help the defense this FA period. That's just a smart guess based on their history. Even when they spend a little bit of money, like they did last year, it doesn't really work and then they turtle up again and get afraid to spend even a little bit of cash.

This team will wait a week or so, sign some slop and then pretend their roster is really complete. They'll be short at DT and S again, most likely.
