Well, technically 75 would put him in the 3rd round.

Question is do we consider him ~50 or 75?

Personally I don’t think LB is a big enough need to take one at 44, but I don’t know what they think about Jaylon. I might be interested in trading up from 75 to get him.

I think it’s definitely a priority:

  • Jaylon is a complete liability

  • Lee is another year older and may retire

  • LVE’s health is always a question mark

  • Joe Thomas left to Houston

  • Justin March is a FA

  • I’m not holding my breath on UDFAs Francis Bernard or Luke Gifford

I hear you but it doesn’t matter what we think. I spend my time trying to figure out what the cowboys are going to do not what I want them to do. If they cut Jaylon (I think today is the deadline) then all bets are off.

I’m starting to think that CB is going to be looked at in round 2. As these guys start to run, we can see that guys like Farley, Surtain, and Horn are really not on a different level. We can get a speedy athletic corner to fit the system at 44. Cox might make it to round 3. Curious to see his workout #’s.

Trade down is a must in round 1. We have to add another round 2 pick. Then you can get Horn in Round 1 and then two of the following three in round 2 (DT, LB, S)

I think we can pick Sawell or Pitt, or some wr Chase or Smith, we have Ofensive mine HC.

We need CB in the first, Cox in the second will be great. We dont have LBs on the roster

I don’t think they’re going to draft a S in the first 3 rounds. They’ll view Kazee/Hooker and Wilson as their starters with Neal as hybrid SS/LB and Thompson as backup FS. More pressing needs on defense and even OT in the first 3 rounds.

58 at the earliest. Bolton Collins, JOK, Parsons, and maybe Davis will probably go earlier.

CB in rd 1 and LB in 2 means we are still ignoring our biggest deficiencies at DT and FS

They signed 2 DT’s. Someone in this board points out that Urban was the 3rd best run stopper in the league. They will sign a FS either Hooker or Kazee.

Which FS would you take at 10.

There is a problem reaching for need. Farley and Surtain aren’t anywhere close to as good as other top 10 CB’s of the past.
