The Cowboys have shored up DL, safety/linebacker. They went out and signed Neal. They also seem to be “in” on Hooker as a possible signing. That’s a bit more than they usually do.

I think the Cowboys are trying to plug a few holes so that they can go OT or Pitts in round one if the opportunity presents itsself.

Granted these signings don’t contain a corner so they could also be thinking corner at #10 overall.

If Cowboys go BPA we might not see a defender picked until round 3 based on the distribution on talent at where we pick. The value of the #10 pick is probably not going to be a defender.

There’s gonna be a ton of D talent at 44 at every position (CB, LB, DT, DE and to a lesser extent S).

I think they are set up well to trade back and pick up another selection in early rounds. BPA may not be the best move draft day. They brought in a bunch of rotational guys, now they need a young cornerstone for that D.

I don't think they know a direction yet. Usually the 1st part of April they start putting together the big board, then refine it as they go.
As usual setting it up to go BPA.
I don't think they need to go OL, and would not be opposed to Pitts, if they go defense in rounds 2 - 5

People thought jeff okudah was nfl ready too
So the similarity is that they're both CBs? There are lots of players taken in the top ten that were busts Morris Claiborne come to mind. If I had to pick the overrated CB in this draft with bust potential it would be Farley.

Similarity is they were both supposedly nfl ready cant miss corners

Okudah has played nine games in his rookie season and got injured. He may take another year but I wouldn't call him a bust. It took Diggs a while to get used to the NFL for us. I think Surtain has been called the most technically sound CB in the draft but time will tell.

I think it's highly debatable that they have "shored" up the DL, safety/linebacker.

They added a bunch of JAGs. In other words, if there was a stud DT at 10, they'd be morons to not take him because they added two JAGs in Urban and Watkins. Problem is there is no DT worthy the 10th pick.

I'd say right now that we are telegraphing cornerback. Opposite Diggs, we would have Lewis or Brown starting and no one should want that. We'll see if they fix that before the draft.

If Parsons is available at #10 that should be the choice.

Instant difference maker on the D.

I've given it some thought and you make a valid point, there are no certainties in the draft. Although Surtain is supposed to have the highest floor and is said to be the most technically sound CB in the draft he could struggle in the NFL. My gut feeling is that he will have early success and Farley could be the one that struggles.
