JBS---- finally someone courageous enough to go optomistic....what if we had a miracle year that no one really got injured and the defense and offense "gelled"?....conference championship baby at least?

Flamma--i would have agreed with that except Denver just paid big bucks for corner...hoping they are looking for some other type player at #9...what do you think of Horn or Farley?

Absolutely not with back surgery Farley. Horn depending on who's available. But he's not much of a reach. He'd be OK. Is rather draft Surtain, but that guy Denver signed is only a one year deal. But I'm hoping you're right.

I don't want to have to count on Surtain falling to us or overdrafting Horn. I prefer we pick up Sherman or Hayward in free agency. Then, if Surtain is the player to take at 10, take him. If not, plan to get a corner at least in the second or third round because Sherman and Hayward are both long in tooth.

Even if Surtain is gone before our pick , I wouldn't mind trading back and drafting Jaycee Horn and getting an extra Top 60 pick out of it......If everything pans out in the stated thread scenario , I see this as a win , too...................

First off, Brown is awful. Stop it.

Second, we just gonna disrespect Jourdan Lewis like this? Who posted this? Kris Richard?

Looks good on paper......the reality often looks entirely different.

The talent is there, but the cohesion? The familiarity? The teamwork? Can they form a unit that seems to act as a single entity, a finely tuned machine? it never seems to work out that way when it comes to "dream" scenarios.

The Tony Dorsett/Herschel Walker duo was supposed to terrorize the NFL. Instead, it ended a twenty year winning streak.

While I appreciate the enthusiasm, I wouldn't go quite that far..............however..................I do believe it is a great step in the right direction. It sure would be nice to see a defense that could at least hold it's own.

Personally, I'm going to hold my optimism at arms length until such time as I'm seeing some defensive success on the field. There's no harm in being optimistic, although, time and success will be needed to change the outlook for me. Until then, this is just a period of desperately needed adjustments. If our defense improves as handily as this thread suggests, most of us will be happy campers. I can easily wait until celebration is warranted.

I like the sounds of that backfield. And I dont want to be a party pooper but unless we get the run defense fixed , we will be lucky to play in January

Dear fellow fanzone freaks---consider we pick up Surtain who just ran a 4.42 pro day...couple him with Diggs and Brown...we got neal hybrid safety weakside LB...we pick up Hooker and Kazee to go along with Wilson who brings the wood....and i believe we have the most formidable DB backfield in the league

what say you all?

Imo, all this defense needs to do is get into the middle as long as our offense is top 5.

Are Hooker and Kazee any good and worth signing up in Free Agency?

Getting both safeties, Hooker and Kazee,, Im happy with just one, Kazee preferably, but getting both would be deserving of a double back flip in the kitchen while the wife was watching and shaking her head insufferably.

Im betting on Denver taking Parsons right there at 9.
