Mock Draft

My goals this offseason are to shore up the OL on offense, keep adding players that can get to the passer on defense, stop the run, and find someone to replace Awuzie. I think your draft does that.

That's about where McNeil should go. I like Adebo he's a ballhawk with 8 ints in two years. With aging players starting to miss games due to injury Slater keeps the OL strong! Round 2 is a good spot for edge rushers and Basham put up great numbers with 35.5 TFLs, 19.5 sacks, and 7 forced fumbles.

If Basham, Adebo and McNeil are gone there should be other players at the same positions available in those spots.

1) Rashawn Slater OL Northwestern
2) Carlos Basham DE Wake Forest
3a) Paulson Adebo CB Stamford
3b) Akim McNeil DT Texas A&M

4th round I might go with 2 LB’s or LB and FS. Any thoughts?

Rock solid!

Maybe you can land a LBr like Fields / Werner in the 4th.

I'd be super disappointed in Slater but love the rest.

I think you would be disappointed in Slater like we are Martin, LC, Freddo and Tyron.

He’s an athlete and he made blocking Chase Young look easy. The only knock is arm length.

No I don't think so because I wasn't disappointed in drafting any of those players. I like Slater a lot and people make too big a deal of his arm length. That said, I don't have him ranked in the top 10 which is where the Cowboys pick, and he's a positionless player on this team. If you're under the impression he would come in and beat out either T. Smith or L. Collins at tackle well that's just not going to happen. They were restructured because Dallas has long term plans for them. If you're suggesting he'd replace C. Williams then I guess it's possible. I don't personally see a rookie coming in and beating out a 4th year guard who's improved his game and strength every season. Center? That one he could probably do but I wouldn't want to put someone with that kind athleticism under center although it would be awesome. If you're drafting toward the future or your super concerned about Tyron's health I guess I could understand it. I don't think Cowboys are though.

There’s a massive difference between Slater and Connor Williams.
