Joe Judge reportedly in person at the Penn State pro day, scouting Parsons. Could we see a trade up or they could be expecting him to be there.

Probably thinking there is a good chance he’s there at pick 11 more than wanting to move up. He had been sliding a bit prior to his pro day where he showed tremendous athleticism (as expected). So, when Judge decided to go to the event, 11 was about where Parsons was expected to go.

Sewell is the guy I'm wondering about. I mean, if he were to slip, somehow........

Man, I'd be turning tables and stopping all over bystanders to get a note up to the podium to get that pick in.

What if the 49ers traded up to take him lol That would be funny.

I would guess that they moved up for one of the QBs but it's possible that it's Penei. I mean, they are right there to watch every game at Oregon, they know all about him and Shanahan is a little different then most HCs, in that he values OLs a great deal. When he came in, he basically cut three starting OLs from the team because they could not do what he wanted out of them. He values quickness and lateral movement in his scheme. Everything with him is play action, everything works off of that. The run game in his Offense is not a power scheme but instead a trapping, quick hitting, downfield second level involvement with the OL. There OLs need to be very capable and mobile. That is Penei for sure and LT is definitely a need for them so it's at least possible that he's the guy. Remember, he's a Kobiak guy and a disciple of his Dad. That means that he's gonna run the ball, he's gonna use speed all over the field and everything is going to work off playaction. Trap all along the OL with quick, mobile OLs and role your QB to attack.

Also remember, the 49ers just signed Williams to a 6 year, 138 mil deal but really, it's a three year deal. They don't want to be paying that kind of cap hit, I would think, if they can get a younger LT to come in and take the position. There are reasons that pick would make a lot of sense for them. Same reasons it would make sense for us, TBH.
