Why is Sean Lee still on the roster?

I am a bit confused. When did the Cowboys sign him to a 2021 season contract? So you want him moved from the active roster to coaching because he has no knowledge to offer?

I know that. They are working on bringing him back. It's 2021 and we're still depending on him because the other two LBs are turning into busts. It's embarrassing.

I don’t know if they are working to bring him back or not
I think they are giving him time to decide on his own terms
If he decides to play then they have to make a decision
Out of respect I think you let him decide if he still wants to play rather than forcing his hand
I think it’s time for him to retire but I have no problem with letting him make his own decision
If he decides to play them I would make my decision if I want him back
If I owned the club I wouldn’t bring him back as a player but I would also treat him with the respect he deserves
 
Is it because I’m not emotionally prepared for a Cowboys team without him?

Sean Lee was the best LB on the Cowboys roster last year. But we keep hoping LVE and Jaylon Smith are going to get better with a new DC.
 
Most think the D sucked last year. FYI, it won’t be better this year with or without Lee.

I'd resign him to play back up. If the contract was for vet minimum or close to it.

At this point he'd be a good backup/insurance in case someone got hurt. I'd think it would be stupid to being him back thinking he'd have a major role with the defense. Backup/insurance policy is the only role on the roster at this point, and for very cheap.
 
So I went all the way to the 4th page of this thread because I wanted to know has anyone stated that Sean Lee isn't even on the roster lol?

And btw, he deserves a little more respect here than that's being given.

I don’t think Jerry will keep him if the staff doesn’t think he can still help the team
He may keep him around on the staff but I don’t think he will keep him on the roster
And his spot is pretty important because depth at LB needs to be core ST players
