Do People Really Think Surtain Goes Before 10?

Is Surtain better than Parsons? I dont think so. And if they go bpa........
I don't agree with that and I also don't play the BPA game and don't think the large majority of GM's do either. If you are in the same division with Mahomes and Herbert, you have to stop the pass.

Is Surtain a better CB than Parsons is a LB? Hard to say but Surtain has been tested a hell of a lot more with the talent in the SEC than Parsons in the Big 10.

I like you now sir
But I'm just saying I think its a lot more likely they pass on Surtain than some think

We'll see what Fangio thinks
Oh sure, bring someone else into this when you get cornered.

Don't you think Fangio might ask his 2nd year WR about Surtain? He worked in practice against Jeudy and Ruggs, two West WR's. he also worked against Chase, Waddle and Smith.

Fangio runs a specific scheme. Why wouldn't I bring him into it? Lol relax. Cornered?

Tell ya the truth, I haven't paid a lot of attention to DEN in several years and I used to know their teams very well. They're under the radar for me.

I don’t think anyone’s gonna trade up for him, so I’m having trouble seeing how some have him going before us. Who do y’all see spending a top 10 pick on a CB?

Panthers need a lot but they definitely need a CB. #8 is my guess where Surtain's name is called.

You’re assuming all 5 QB’s are gone?

I wish. Unfortunately the shocker of this draft might be how few QB's went in the top 10...
Only 3 QB's go top 10. TLaw / Fields / Wilson.

Might only be two. QB's always drop and the QB frenzy is purely witchcraft, hysteria and complete overhype.
Lance is not a top 10 QB. I would maybe take him in the 2nd round. Mac Jones had one of the worst pro-days I've
seen in a long long time. 2nd round grade again, maybe even 3rd round. Z. Wilson won't be good. He might get
taken early but he's not a good pick. TLaw and Fields are the only legit QB prospects IMHO.

Jags / Niners take QB's.

Jets won't take one. Falcons won't take one. Eagles won't take one. Panthers might go Surtain.

the newish projection of Mac Jones to SF would make 5 QB's before 10. Hard to believe I know. Sewell,Pitt, a couple of WR's and we get what ever defensive player we like

I think Surtain is the #1 target, but I also think the Cowboys will have several players rated very closely @10 and be ready to pick if he's taken. I still believe JOK is a very strong contender @10.
And he wouldn't be a reach, I think he's a top 10 prospect. That interception of the pass to Entienne in the flat was eye popping.

You’re thinking 3 QB’s go top 10 and Surtain? Hey we are all guessing so I won’t kill you for it but you’re completely wrong on the QB’s drop thing. QB’s make the draft move and are 99% of the reasons teams trade up.

Remember 2017? Trades up for Trubisky, Watson, and Mahomes.

2018? 5 QB’s in round 1 (4 in the top 10) including a trade for Rosen.

Bro lol the Jets are taking a QB man. I didn’t even read that originally, kinda don’t even wanna have a discussion anymore if that’s what you think. Wilson is going to be a Jet.

I didn’t think 5 quarterbacks would go in the top 10 until I heard rumors that the 49ers will draft Matt Jones at 3. There are at least 3 teams that want to move up in the top 10 to get Fields/Lance. I think the Bears, Washington, and the Patriots will pull the trigger and trade with the Falcons or Lions.

I don’t think it’ll be 5 either but wouldn’t be surprised. Definitely will be 4 though. Lance/Fields aren’t getting past Carolina.

I think the receivers fall. I think Surtain goes ahead of both Waddle and Smith. I hope I am wrong.

I believe this is going to be the most unpredictable draft in years. We have to see how teams look at players that opted out of the season for one thing. For some, there was no 2020 season, no 2021 combine and frankly pro-day results are all over the place. I am wondering if we will see players who opted out or who have little injuries drop a round or will teams be more willing to roll the dice this year with the understanding that it is an unusual year.

I think Surtain may be gone early simply because he is considered such a safe pick in a year of less certainty.

The only issue with Surtain is he probably is closer to 4.5 then 4.4. That will turn some teams off.

Nobody will please everyone.

Surtain - A lot of people don’t want a CB at 10 no matter what. A lot of people think he’s slow (lol). A lot of people would be happy with him and think he’s a sure thing. Some see a day one starter and others see a guy that will “always get beat deep.”

Parsons - some don’t want to pick an “off the ball” LB that high. Some think he’s all athlete and no football player (not true). Some act like he’s a convicted felon because of a hazing incident. Some think he’s the best defensive player in the draft and would be happy. Some hate Jaylon Smith so much that they’d be happy with Parsons.

Pitts - Many would be thrilled and see him as a hall of fame type player. Many would hate him from the start because he doesn’t play defense. Some would hate him because they hate Jerry so much and see a “flash” player as Jerry’s fault. Some would hate him because they see him like other athletic TE’s who never panned out and “you don’t draft TE in the top 10”.

Slater - Some would hate him because he doesn’t play offense. Some would hate him because “you should be able to build an OL without all first round picks.” Some would hate him because his arms are too short for tackle. Many would love the pick because he’s a versatile lineman that can play anywhere on the line and is a solid as a rock prospect who has excelled at LT.

Some will complain that Dallas is dumb for who they picked and others will be happy with a high level addition to the team.

The truth is that any of them are worthy of the 10th pick and will help the team for the next 5 years. They all have strengths and they all have weaknesses, but Surtain, Pitts, and Slater have little to no bust factor. Parsons floor isn’t as high as theirs but his ceiling is just about as high as the other three ceiling.

The only thing that’s certain is that there will be guys on here arguing about whoever Dallas picks.
So true lol. To add if Dallas REALLY wants a CB and Surtain is gone and we take Farley with the 10th pick (and he very well could be the best CB at the end of the day), they’ll complain and say we always reach on “injured players”
