I’m not passing on Pitts....no way....no how. The log jam of guys who need to be fed the rock will only be a problem for a year. Next year Gallup will be gone and it will be Cooper Pitts and Lamb.

I don’t think Pitts gets us any closer to being in the big game. He'll sell more jerseys. And gets us more highlights on ESPN. Now that I think about it... That might be what Jerry wants..

Fantastic talent but I agree, I am not sure where the upside is for this team with Pitts.

I struggle with this because I tend to be a BPA guy myself and Pitts would arguably be the best player available at 10.

I think we can get by without Pitts.

If Tyron goes down it can turn into a crap show real quick as seen at times last year.

We also have Chase Young to worry about for a decade.

So you HAVE to make sure you can protect the edge going forward or the whole offense won’t work.

Yep agree..

I do think he will be awesome but how much better are we with him? Can’t say.. If he has a Gronk type of impact then it’s worth it for sure.

In order to be successful long term you have to build inside out.. WFT learned that lesson they built the Oline and Dline... Dallas always fall in love with the shiny new toys...

If Pitts is there at 10 I’d have a hard time passing on him but the oline is a huge concern of mine. Slater can play interior until we move on from Tyron.

Yeah but you gotta take what the draft gives you.

This is why not participating in FA is maddening and reaching for Trysten Hill’s screws us over on both ends.

Finally seeing the flaw in that absolute thinking huh? others will come around soon.

No, BPA is still the smartest strategy but there are situations where I can argue it might not make sense. QB would be one. You wouldn't take a QB at 10 when you just gave Dak $40MM. In this case, Pitts is a fantastic talent and we should be jumping on him under most normal circumstances, but he'd be a TE on a team that is pretty loaded in pass catchers at WR and RB and you have a couple of TEs that have shown to be pretty good.

The return on the investment isn't there.

I’m all about fixing the OL and Slater is my biggest want at 10.....I might even take AVT there, but I can’t pass on Pitts. Could be like passing on Moss. We can fix OL at 44 and move up into 30’s with one of our other picks.

I’ve always been strangely attracted to Jane Slater, but I would never demean her by calling her my “pet cat” you bunch of piglets.

As long as we agree that there are other factors at play with bpa then its all good. Some people are so stubborn theyd draft a running back even while Zeke is here if the rb was bpa

The upgrade from Jarwin to Pitts as a 3rd/4th option is NOT worth passing on Surtain.

Dallas invested heavily in the offensive line. Three first rounders, a second rounder, and a guy who would have been a first rounder. And all but one got second contracts (so far).
