I would draft this guy in the end of the 5th round. Think about it, how many times do we waist a late round pick on a guy who never contributes. This guy would be an instant starter at FB and would bring a missing element to this team. He's an outstanding run blocker who can open up running lanes, something Zeke hasn't had. He can also play special teams and can offer a little out of the backfield. It's a very underrated position but I think one that MM actually respects. He did have Kuhn all those years and he was a very big part of the offense and an unsung hero. I would love if we added this guy.

Absolutely. I have been putting him in all of my mocks. However, if the team drafts Brevin Jordan in the 3rd, Mason would be overkill.

Blake Bell played almost 1/3 of offensive snaps for us last year as an in-line blocker and hasn’t been replaced yet. Unless a FB like Foster is a really good special teams guy (no idea if he is/isn’t) I think it gets tough to justify the roster spot nowadays. I’d rather find a guy to be both the 3rd TE and FB...if that even exists

Yea, I'm on the Mason train. Of course I'm stuck in the 90's when it comes to the fullback spot but I think he can be an useful piece for this team.

Understood but I don't think so

If the team takes Jordan in the 3rd, we would only really have Schultz as an average inline blocker.

So, IMO it would strengthen the case for Mason, as while Jarwin and Jordan have the will to block, neither is either all that good at it/rookie strength.

We would need that 6th guy from time to time to open up that hole for Zeke/Pollard

My assumption is that Jordan would play more H back than traditional TE

That’s what I foresee as well with Jordan. Mason has been a pet cat of mine for awhile. The only question is if the new coaching staff want to utilize a more traditional fullback type.
