Pro Days 3/31: UF-LSU-ND-UK-Wake F

All we really need to know is that Pitts and Chase are almost certainly top 5 players on our board. Add Sewell to that list. These are elite prospects. We want 1 of them. We don’t expect it but we want it. We need a CB. As much as I love Surtain, I’m not taking him before any of these players.

How about the front office act like a front office and find a way to maximize your position.Make a trade if necessary to get additional picks.

Dan Mullen, Fla coach on Pitts:

  • He is very hard worker with great work ethic.
  • He’s a special athlete.
  • He’s a lot of fun to coach as a player and a person.
  • Fun as an athlete because you damn use him anywhere in the scheme.
  • NFL is such a matchup league. He’s going to be used all over.

I'm a big Mullen fan and I think he's an NFL head coach in the making. What he says in that last line kind of sums up the excitement around Pitts. It doesn't matter how many other receivers you have, how good your running back is, or even what scheme you play him in. He's a matchup nightmare no matter who he lines up against. Linebackers can't run with him and corners can't outpower him. Players like that only come around once in a blue moon. #4 to Atlanta and the happiest day of Matty Ice life.

You may be right... Ryan would be thrilled. However, it is such a QB driven league and Scott Pioli was saying the other day that Fields (and Lance) are a great fit for what Atl will be doing in their new offense. If they think they won’t be in the top 5 again, I could see them going QB at 4.

Pitts extremely smooth in his position drills (with the WR’s). His hands are great.

Guys on NFL Network just said Pitts has to go early but:

They think it’ll be QB the first 4 picks.

Then Sewell for Cincy.

Chase to Miami at 6.

Then they say Atl likely won’t go TE after Hockenson.

Carolina wants QB.

Denver has two really good TE’s already, including Fant who was a first round pick.

Then they said, “Who’s next? Dallas?” Then they both laughed and said, “Kyle Pitts would look very good with a star on the side of his helmet.”

:omg:

Where’s the fingers crossed emoji?

Pitts working with TE’s now.

DJ just said “What corners in the NFL match up with Pitts?”

The other guy said “Jalen Ramsey.....uh........”

DJ: “Yeah that list is pretty short”

With Pitts, I just don’t see how they stop us going 4-5 wide

I think a 12 package would be really difficult for defenses.

Say Cooper and Lamb at WR with Shultz and Pitts at TE.

It could be a run package very easily. Jeremiah said that Pitts is a better blocker than people think. He’s just so dynamic in the passing game that people think he’s a bad blocker. Said he gives great effort at everything, including blocking. He said that scouts say if a guy gives good effort he can be a good enough blocker.

Or, it could be a very dangerous 3 WR package.

It wouldn’t matter how defenses try to defend it, the offense could do the opposite and creat nightmares.

Daniel Jeremiah just said that what makes Pitts so dangerous is his instincts and feel for playing TE. He said that Jason Witten was great with no speed because he was great at playing the position... he said Pitts has the natural feel for playing TE along with Rare athleticism.

He said very, very rare to combine that kind of athleticism while being so good with the mental and instinctual part of the position.

This is something that I’ve been trying to say for a while. He’s a great player before you even talk about the athleticism.
