1-Jax-QB Lawrence
2-NYJ-QB Wilson
3-49ers-QB Lance (not buying the Mac Jones rumblings)
4-Altanta-TE Pitts (have talked to him multiple times)
5-Cincy-T Sewell (wouldn't shock me to see Chase here)
6-Miami-WR Chase (best WR in the class)
7-Lions-WR D. Smith (wouldn't surprise me if Waddle goes here over his teammate)
8-Carolina-QB Fields
9-Denver-G/T Slater (could go QB, Parsons or Surtain)
10-Dallas-CB Surtain (everything suggests either Surtain or Horn)
11-Giants-LB Parsons (perfect fit for a hybrid system, Judge was in person at his pro day)
12-Eagles-WR Waddle (move back and still land their guy)

What's your ideal scenario for 10?

I'm strongly hoping for a deal back, but I don't see the team passing on Surtain if he is there.

I think Detroit is a good trade up possibility for the Patriots so they can get a quarterback. I agree with most of your draft picks especially Pitts to Atlanta.

In this scenario, with Jones still on the board you should get offers to move up which would probably be good enough to pass on Surtain.

If Denver passing on the QB, they could trade back or we might be able to do so, if they choose another player. Think another team will probably jump in that Lions spot looking for a QB, ahead of Carolina.

Definitely, especially with Carolina looking to take a QB.

My top 4 at 10 in order is Pitts, Slater, Surtain, Parsons. I believe the Cowboys will have Surtain over both Slater and Parsons.

Agreed on the teams thoughts.

Did you forget Sewell or not a fan?

I'm holding out for a deal down for Moehrig, and hope you get a Newsome or Stokes type at 44.

Then the DT LB stuff in the mid rounds....where it ought to be in this draft.

That's the best way to get better quickly and be covered for next year as well w all these one year guys.

I'm assuming Sewell is gone, he would be 1st on my list.

I would seriously not be surprised if Sewell and Surtain were both on the board.

If all those QBs end up going top 9 I wouldn't even call it a longshot.

Seems very feasible to me.

I might put Waddle in Detroit before Smith, but I’m not sure about that.

It could be Jones in SF but it certainly could be Lance, who makes more sense to me.

I think picks 5 and 6 are pretty close to being sure things. Sewell to Cincy and Chase to Miami just makes a ton of sense, particularly if Pitts goes to Atl.

For Denver, I also agree that it will be Slater or Parsons, who would be who I think is the favorite there.

As for Dallas, I think that their wishlist probably looks like this:
  • Pitts
  • Surtain
  • Horn
  • Slater
  • Parsons

That looks about like I think it’ll fall.

However, someone is going to throw a wrench in everything and shake it up. They almost always do. I’m ready to find out what happens.

I have seen Sewell slide in recent mocks, just don't see it as he is rated the 2nd overall by most. Detroit/Denver are hard reads. It wouldn't surprise me if Cincy goes Chase, Miami goes Smith and Detroit takes Sewell.

As for the Cowboys, I think your rankings are accurate.

It would be a shocker if Sewell was there, he is rated #2 overall prospect by most.

Yeah but everyone can't be gone when you factor in the QBs, Pitts, at least two WR....

There's often a top 10 surprise.

Some teams may prefer Slater to him anyway.

Plus the depth at OT may have teams thinking they can get one later.

It happens. Wouldnt surprise me at all. Not to the point where it can be completely dismissed.

Depth at Tackle is different then depth at another position as it's a spot that's in high demand. Even average Tackles get pushed up. It wouldn't surprise me if all the top tackles are gone after 44, where we will be left with more developmental types if we chose to go in that direction.

I see what you mean there.

Just saying I wouldn't rule out Sewell sliding to 10.

Same shot as Lamb had of falling to 17 last year.

A developmental OT is fine in our case anyway.

That is the hope if they don't use a high pick on a Tackle, find a developmental guy at the position.
