Pitts, Sewell, Parsons,Surtain, Slater and Horne

The Cowboys will probably draft one of those guys at 10. I think each player would improve the Cowboys dramatically next season. The question is who would be the best pick to help us get to the Super Bowl. Let us look at each player individually.

Kyle Pitts tight end Florida. Super freak player that is 6’6 and runs a 4.4 forty. He played in the SEC and made teams cover him with a cornerback. I see draft gurus like Dane, Kiper and McShay have him as a top 5 prospect. For the Cowboys he would make our offense the most dangerous in the league.

Pennei Sewell offensive tackle Oregon. The man is 19 years of age and started at right tackle at age 17. He is the second coming of Tyron Smith. For the Cowboys he would make our offensive line the best in the league like Martin completed us in 2014. My goodness Martin and Sewell on the right or Sewell and Smith on the left. Absolutely frightening.....

Mikah Parsons Linebacker Penn State. Super freak defensive player. I believe he has more natural ability then White, linebacker Tampa Bay. He played defensive end in high school so he has pass rush ability. Parsons is LVE/Jaylon in 2018 on steroids. For the Cowboys he would be a front seven game changer that will help Tank, Gregory and the rest of defensive line.

Patrick Surtain, cornerback, Alabama. His size is freakish, he is a true 6’2 cornerback with bloodlines. Surtain was born to play in the secondary. For the Cowboys he is a plug and play cornerback that could be Jaylon Ramsey without the attitude. Surtain has no weakness to his game and tackles like a linebacker. Surtain and Diggs could be the best cornerback duo in the league in two seasons.

Rashawn Slater, offensive tackle, Northwestern. A technician at offensive tackle. You can line him up all over the offensive line from day one. Slater has the best film of any prospect from 2019. He clearly controlled the great Chase Young. For the Cowboys he is a newer version of Zach Martin. With this guy we could return back to having not only a dominant offensive line but a smart one as well.

Finally Jaycee Horne cornerback South Carolina. Reminds me of Zaire Alexander, Green Bay cornerback, except has a bigger chip on his shoulder. Horne has NFL bloodlines and is a “Dog” I love the fact that he will ask to take another teams best player. For the Cowboys he could be cornerback 1 and our corners would be set for the next five years. Horne and Diggs could be the best duo in the league in two years.

If Pitts is on the board, they have to take him. That puts him on the Cowboys and not on the Giants or the Eagles. I think you are exactly right if they pick at 10. They would take one of the players on your list. I hope that they end up with a disruptive pass rusher. The guys that I think could be that guy would be either Parsons or Jaelan Phillips who would go between 20 and 35. That being said, I would be thrilled if they got Pitts and Richie Grant. If Pitts is gone, I'm happy with whoever they chose off your list or if they trade back. I'm probably will like whoever they pick or trade around for. There are a lot of good players that fit their needs in the top 75. The only thing I would absolutely hate is if Pitts is there at 10 and they somehow didn't take him.

Pitts won’t be there. Can’t imagine they would take Parsons that high.

to me we are down to the 2 OT’s and the 2 corners. Or a trade back.
You could argue that Sewell wouldn't be there. You could say that several guys wouldn't be there. There was less than a 10 percent chance that Lamb would be on the board at 17. That took a perfect storm from the Raiders, Broncos, Falcons, and Eagles.

Just another angle, and possible outcome with a WR being the BPA at 10.
Pitts, Swelll, Parsons, Surtain, and Slater are gone by 10:

1. Jags Trevor Lawrence QB
2. Jets Zach Wilson QB
3. 49ers Justin Fields QB
4. Atl Kyle Pitts TE
5. Cin Ja'marr Chase WR, or Devonta Smith WR
6. Mia Penei Sewell T
7. Det Micah Parsons LB
8. Car Rashawn Slater T
9. Den Patrick Surtain Jr. CB

Leaves Horn.
No quality trade down scenario exits.

Ja'Marr Chase, or Devonta Smith , or Jaylen Waddle could fall to 10.
What do you do?

Is Horn the BPA, if Chase, Smith, or Waddle are available at 10 -- with no valuable trade down options.

At 10, take BPA, and a foundational player for the foreseeable future.

I have not seen any rankings of Horn above Chase, Smith, or Waddle.
It might be that a WR is the BPA at 10.
Think you can find interest in a trade back if a receiver falls

A good chance that one of Pitts, Chase, Waddle, and Smith will be on the board at 10. If Pitts is there, they take him in my opinion.

I would definitely take Sewell or Pitts if they were there. Prefer Sewell. Need to protect the investment.

All of the above, lol

In your scenario, they could trade down and keep a top receiver out of the division. They could then draft a best player available between guys like Horn, Newsome, Jeremiah Owusu-Kormoah, and Jaelan Phillips.

I’d be very surprised if nobody was interesting in coming up for a QB. Most like ahead of Carolina who themselves, I highly doubt will be satisfied with Teddy Bridgewater as their future.

Trey Lance will go top ten. He is a developing QB that Atlanta or San Francisco can select. We will have options. QB Jones will be in play for somebody willing to trade up.

i hope personally we get either pitts, parsons or surtain.
we get 1 of'm....we're a better team for it day 1.
i like slater and won't hate that pick at all.
same for horn tho 10 might be a lil high but i get it.
its shaping up to be a good lookin board at 10.
just gotta wait and see what the tide brings in.

I will not be surprised if the Cowboys select an Edge guy if this scenario happens. Could Kwitty Paye be the Cowboys 1st round pick? The Cowboys love to draft DEs in the first round and Paye is a guy they could move inside on passing downs. They also love versatility.

5 qbs go in the top 9.

I like Phillips over Paye. Guys that sack the qb in college usually sack them in the NFL.

I’m down for Pitts if he makes it to 10, if not then I m definitely down for Parsons. Bucky seems to love him for Dallas.
