Wanted Watson, settled for Darnold.

But the cost is well worth the risk.

*definitely understand Watson is someone maybe not worth the price due to multiple reasons

8th pick is up for grabs now. A team needing a CB can jump Dallas if Surtain is their guy. It also means, that if a team wants another "blue chip" caliber player, they can move up to 8.

Anyone know off hand what the Panthers needs are now that QB is addressed?

Good. Now that cements a defensive pick. The side we actually need help on.
Bad news.
We won't be getting a much better elite offensive player that will help this team more.
A defensive player at 44 won't be that much of a drop off that we could get at 10.

Surtain is still the consensus pick at 10 anyway.

I said in my post.

Ok, I see what you stated, but why would the Cowboys be concerned about an offensive player? One of those individuals, may still be there, but if a highly touted defensive player is available, he should be chosen.

Because those offensive players are blue chippers. Much better than any defensive player at 10.
