This is how the Cowboys could nail the 2021 draft. Mock

Id probably take Jamin Davis instead of Cox.

Sure............insert whatever player you like at the positions as long as its reasonable they would be there. If the Cowboys take a TE at 10, ,then they will actually force themselves to draft for need the rest of the way. Trading down in this draft seems like the best option in my opinion. If it is an option.

Dallas Cowboys trade shakes up strategy in new mock draft (thelandryhat.com)

Short version:

Trade back from 10th to 15th and pick up an extra 2nd rounder (46th pick)

1 (15) Jaycee Horn CB
2 (44) Jabril Cox LB LSU
2 (46) Richie Grant S TCU
3 (75) Marvin Wilson DT Florida State
Love trading down for Horn.

The picks afterward....not so much.

Ive got all three of those players a round lower than you're taking them.

That's just me though....you're following the consensus as far as where they ought to be drafted.

NO problem. Put in the guys you would take there that are realistic on the defensive side of the ball. Im interested to see them.

LOOK AT THAT DRAFT!!!!! Incredible. We get potentially 4 starters at the extreme positions of need on defense. We have a draft like that and all of a sudden the defense is looking up big time and the season is looking completely different.
Nab a player at each critical defensive position.

Would you be happy with Caleb Farley at 15?
Farley was the only guy I really liked at 10 for a while.

I have no idea on the back situation, and I don't think they can afford to chance it. They need help now, not redshirt dudes.

So, I'd say no.

Oh i like Cox too. I just like Davis more. Hes being compared to Darius Leonard.

They gotta do their homework. If it’s not a big deal then it would be an opportunity.

You can't call it a nailed draft if you are taking Marvin Wilson in the 3rd.

Wilson isn't much of an interior pass rush guy. He's not strong enough inside. He hasn't improved all that much since his sophomore year when he looked like he might be the next stud DT. I watched him get absolutely mauled by ND this past year. He had no fight, couldn't get much of a push, etc. Granted, that was a pretty good ND OL he was facing but that's the kind of people he's going to face in the NFL.

I'll take a flier on Wilson in like the 5th round. Not the 3rd.

I think that I did much better:

  • 10. Patrick Surtain II CB Alabama

    44. Richie Grant S UCF

    75. Dylan Moses LB Alabama

    99. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU

    115. Patrick Jones EDGE Pittsburgh

    138. Monty Rice LB Georgia

    179. Camryn Bynum CB California

    192. Tre Brown CB Oklahoma

    227. Alaric Jackson OT Iowa

    238. Khyiris Tonga DT BYU

I am not a big fan of Wilson but understand picking him. To me he is just inconsistent.
