I agree. It's just common sense. Trading back and getting a player we want and something for it, a win win. Only one problem with your trade. It would be a 2nd. There second pick is worth more than trading up 5 places. At least that's what the chart says.

If they passed on Kyle Pitts, they would pass on the best possible player that they could have gotten and they would be giving that top player to a division rival.

Nonsense. Pitts is a great prospect and there are plenty of other great prospects of higher need. You act like Pitts is the ONLY great prospect in the draft. Its borderline obsession to be honest. Creepy. They dont need a TE and dont need offense. Maybe a LT. We are trying to build a SB caliber team not a fantasy football team.

Really? They have already signed 6 new defensive players and have 10 draft picks and hired a new defensive coach.

Taking a consensus top 2 player at 10 is not nonsense.
 
I think that the Boys will have their choice of defenders in this draft. Picks 1-9 will all be offense. I believe there are two players in this draft that are generational players defensively in this draft. Patrick Surtain II and Micah Parsons. Both have game changing abilities that will make OC scheme for them. Both positions are needs for the Boys and would cornerstone the defense for the next decade. Obviously both players would need to have their off field problems looked at and all the due diligence that comes with that but if everything looks right and I was GM I'd send the Broncos 2022 1st RND, 2nd RND (I would offer a 3rd RND first but willing to give a 2nd RND) and 2021 2nd RND to pick up the 1st RND 9th pick in 2021. The points come pretty close on the trade chart, if Denver is willing, I'd go Micah Parsons at 9 and Patrick Surtain II at 10.

I agree here, but Pitts isn't a "regular" TE. Not just a TE either. He is probably in the top 5 players in the entire draft! So, grabbing a potential top 5 pick at 10 is a steal no matter how you look at it. I want more of these top tier talents please. If Pitts is available, and you draft Horn, then you're drafting for need anyway. There are other rounds in the draft people. Hell, we have 10 whole picks!! Just draft well and stop running away from elite talent.

Since you are ignorant about Kyle Pitts I will assume you are ignorant about the other players as well. For the other people on the board, this guy claims that Kyle Pitts didn't play against good opponents in college. He said this in another thread. He evidently doesn't know about the SEC.

Good God. Do some homework. Guys, if the Cowboys pass on Pitts, this a guy that will come back years latter and say how stupid Jerry was for passing on him.
