A few weeks back, I bought tickets to the Rock Hall of Fame. Just this morning realized the Draft is going to be there the same weekend.

Embarrassing as that is, I was able to score tickets to take my 10 year old to the NFL Draft Experience while I’m there on Friday night. Cant get into the lottery to watch the draft of course bc the 10 year old can’t get vaccinated.

Anyone know what we can expect at the event?

You have to have vaccine to get into the draft?
You have to be vaccinated to actually watch the draft and boo Goodell. I got mine weeks ago. If I were going alone, I’d enter the lottery to watch.

Nope zero issue. Couldn't care less.
then that is a fine decision you can make for yourself. but as i could never make a choice for you - you should not be able to make it for me.

but like i said - a topic not for this forum.

I live in Tampa. I am a healthcare worker. I attended the Super Bowl. Attendees were invited based on being fully vaccinated. The NFL really treated us well and we had great seats too.
Thats awesome to hear. I am stuck here in Ontario and we just entered lockdown for the 3rd time.

so you have no problem with having to reveal medical history in order to attend a public event.

the precedence that sets is simply astounding but not a topic for here.
so the NFL will require fans to have a vaccine in order to attend the NFL draft....but won't require coaches or players to get one to play the game....

Because the coaches and players are tested likely daily / weekly. As opposed to random Joes showing up to an event

I understand the privacy concern. And I suppose the next question may be...”will I need proof I got a flu shot to buy season tickets?” I wouldn’t support that example.

I think the severity of what we are going through merits an exception re: privacy. I wouldn’t support that exception becoming the rule.

I don’t disrespect you if you worry about a slippery slope. It’s a pretty personal decision.

And it's not as if we haven't seen our Government do that very thing and recently. I mean, plenty of examples of this type of over reach through the years. I agree with you here.

We’ve strayed from football and for all we know Hostile is deciding whether or not to bench us at this moment.

Let’s stick to what we agree on:

None of us will ever look as cool as Landry in a hat.
Bill Bates and George Teague are our fan favorites.
We miss Scott David.
AdamJJT is our favorite poster.
We loathe Roger Goodell.
We secretly love it when a punt hits the big screen.
Hot Boyz has gotta go.
Larry Allen is the greatest Dallas Cowboy ever.

the problem to me is once you find a way to justify getting around a law, then it sets precedence and will become more common place in other areas. if it meets no resistance, it will become a new rule.

I didn't make a decision for you. That's an NFL decision, it's their business, their forum, and hosted in their facility. They've got every right to ask for whatever they want of their patrons to attend and those patrons can decide if they'd like to comply or not attend. Personally it bothers me no more than a golf course enforcing long pants or a grocery store enforcing me wearing shoes. If you're bothered by it I'd suggest you don't go. It will still be packed with folks having a good time.

I'm fairly certain that Hos wont' be benching anybody on this board. Adam is not my favorite poster. I don't hate Roger Goodell, I just don't really love him. I don't even like the big screen. The rest we pretty much agree upon, I think.
