Went a little different here. Double dipped at CB. Grabbed IMO the best LB and best S on the board. Shored up the DL. Grabbed an explosive WR and a special teams demon in Hilliard. Overall i think this is a good draft. But I will leave that to you.

I would be OK with Newsome. MM went to the UK pro day, wonder who he went to see? Bobby Brown just moved up the NFL.com rankings list to the fourth best DT so that would be the definition of a value pick.

Yeah and we got 3 on defense last year. That's 7 out of 11 starters. That are all currently better than what we have.

And I am a big fan of doubling up on what we need. Atleast 1 CB, DL, LB should work out at minimum but if 2 of any group hit even better!

I like some players (Grant and Meli) but no way I spend #23 on Newsome and then go CB again @66. Not enough to help our front 7 here with Jamin Davis and Togia who can be had later, IMO.

Jamin Davis is being talked about as a late first rounder now.

I'll take Nick Bolton or Zaven Collins. Jamin is a player that needs to be developed at the LB position. He's a run and chase guy who has problems scraping and reading the play, we have that now with Jaylon. Someone might go early on him, great athlete, good pass defender, good length but he's a 3rd-4th rounder, Imo.

Go watch Bolton take on a block and hit the hole.....that's what we're missing at LB.

Davis is being compared to Darius Leonard? Maybe they all have it wrong.

Hey you never know... guy could break out. He's moving up the boards based on potential, especially his athleticism. My issue is he lacks ability to dissect plays in traffic and take on lineman. He's light at 6'4 225 but very rangy, could be good in the right spot.

Jamin Davis very well might go in the first round.

:omg:whats not to like.
im a big fan of the double dip.
i'd do that at CB,LB and DT.
:thumbup:nice mockin'.

I have sorta convinced myself that sliding back into the 20's targeting Newsome (or JOK on the off chance he slides) & getting 5 picks in the top 100 just might be the best path.

I like Davis but don't really know where he should be ranked. I definitely prefer taking him in the second versus Parsons at 10.

Would feel like a lottery winner with Grant at 44.

Agreed, I love the player but I don't know where to value him as I think he may be more of a downhill LB. In a passing league does that knock his value down to 3rd \ 4th?

If we already had a strong coverage core and we were adding Bolton, I would be much more inclined to draft earlier.

I wouldn't have an issue with it. Both Brown & Lewis will be FA's after this season I believe. So getting ahead of the curve on replacing them would have benefits.

Bolton's a good zone coverage LB, and the best against the run in the draft. Good athlete, smooth, he 's not Jamin with 6'4 length, he's not the freak athlete of Parsons but he had a good pro day ran a 4.6 and he's a better Linebacker.

He has the best instincts for a LB in the draft. He's shorter, stocky 6' 235 but I'm ok with that at LB especially when your dissecting plays like Mike Singletary. Watch him play, imagine him instead of Jaylon at Will.

I love Bolton’s game. He has great instincts and is always a beat (or two) ahead of all the other defenders. Such a smart football player.

I’m afraid that we like Bolton more than the Cowboys do though. They like length in their LB’s, although Quinn might be changing that. I hope so because he’s just the type of guy you want on your defense.
