Dane Brugler Mock Draft 4/14/21

Exactly. I don’t know who was still on the board at that point but I’d be willing to bet wasn’t the best of the remaining guys.

Here were the next few picks by Brugler after Holland.

45. Jacksonville Jaguars – Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State
46. New England Patriots – Davis Mills, QB, Stanford
47. Los Angeles Chargers – Sam Cosmi, OT, Texas
48. Las Vegas Raiders – Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Washington
49. Arizona Cardinals – Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky
50. Miami Dolphins – Carlos Basham, edge, Wake Forest
51. Washington Football Team – Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
52. Chicago Bears – Kellen Mond, QB, Texas A&M
53. Tennessee Titans – Joseph Ossai, edge, Texas
54. Indianapolis Colts – Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame
55. Pittsburgh Steelers – Quinn Meinerz, OC, Wis. Whitewater
56. Seattle Seahawks – Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, Syracuse
57. Los Angeles Rams – Elijah Molden, CB, Washington
58. Baltimore Ravens – Jaylen Mayfield, OT/G, Michigan
59. Cleveland Browns – Payton Turner, edge, Houston
60. New Orleans Saints – Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
61. Buffalo Bills – Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia
62. Green Bay Packers – Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri
63. Kansas City Chiefs – Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
64. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Dillon Radunz, OT/G, North Dakota State

Considering Brugler has Holland as his 65th rated prospect, picking him at 44 is quite a reach

Cowboys Picks:

10. Patrick Surtain, CB, Bama
44. Jevon Holland, S, Oregon
75. Marlon Tuipulotu, DT, USC
99. D'Ante Smith OT, East Carolina
115. Chauncey Golston, Edge, Iowa
138. Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
179. Trevon Grimes, WR, Florida
192. John Bates, TE, Boise State
227. William Sherman, G/C, Colorado
238. Kene Nwangwu, RB, Iowa State

Pitts, Sewell and Slater were all gone by pick 10

Would rather have Tommy Togiai than Tuipulotu and would like to see us replace one of those next few picks with McNeill, Marvin Wilson or Tyler Shelvin to add more beef to our defensive line. Not sure who Brugler had available, but I'd take any of those over Golston in the fourth. We're much better off at end than tackle with Lawrence, Gregory and Basham. We've also got Armstrong, Anae and Ron'Dell Carter vying for roster spots.

Also instead of the running back, when we already have our starter and primary backup, I'd like to see us get fullback Ben Mason. In fact, I'd take him over any of the last four picks.

I like Surtain and Holland fill big needs and improves our secondary but past those two we can do better

Yup!
I agree with this 100%
Heck I'd double dip on Tufele and Togiai.
Sorry for being a pain...
Where did Stokes, Browning, and Jamin Davis go?

Where did Stokes, Browning, and Jamin Davis go?

Davis went 28 to the Saints
Stokes went 43 to the 49ers
Browning went 80 to the Raiders

Davis went 28 to the Saints
Stokes went 43 to the 49ers
Browning went 80 to the Raiders

See this is where I'd take Browning at 75
Togiai at 115
My draft based on this results would be
Surtain 10
Joseph 44
Browning 75
Not sure whos available at 99.
Togiai at 115.

Love this draft. Have no idea why the hate on D’ante Smith. Elite athletic traits and very young, could be a pro-bowl caliber guy in 2 years. As much as we want to draft Tyron’s replacement LT is pretty set for 2021 with Smith and Nsekhe. D. Smith would be the perfect prospect to take over for Tyron down the line.

So why didn't you take Jaycee Horn a CB1 over Surtain a CB2?

Rumor making the rounds is if Sewell gets past Cincy at 5, Chargers are prepared to move up and take him.

makes so much sense to reunite him and Hebert. I doubt Miami would trade out after trading up but Detroit at 7 is absolutely possible

I don't hate it but Holland at 44 seems like a reach. I just can't figure him out.
He's a super smooth runner who looks like a perfect free safety who can also return punts. He's great value at 44 and amazing value after that.....oh yeah also can cover in the slot.

The other rumor making the rounds is that Mike "I want your money" Brown, another horrible owner/ wanna be GM, is head over heels for Pitts. So it is looking like Pitts and Sewell could go 5 and 6.

Brugler has Surtain as CB1 on his draft guide and Horn at CB2
Don’t care what burgler or anyone has them rated. Go watch the film. Jaycee will be a far superior corner. Surtain plays for Alabama and the best defense in college. He’s surrounded by studs and can only play one side of the field. Jaycee is going to be a second coming of jalen Ramsey
