Dane Brugler Mock Draft 4/14/21

Don’t care what burgler or anyone has them rated. Go watch the film. Jaycee will be a far superior corner. Surtain plays for Alabama and the best defense in college. He’s surrounded by studs and can only play one side of the field. Jaycee is going to be a second coming of jalen Ramsey
Not that I agree with you, because I dont regarding the 2, but its refreshing to see guys not follow these experts

Except that Surtain doesn’t just play one side of the field, but don’t let the facts get in the way of a good unsubstantiated rant.

Holland is probably the top single high safety prospect. He opted out last season, so let’s hope that helps him to get to 44. Interesting that Dane thinks the Cowboys want to complete their secondary instead of improving the front seven.
I from what I read there is more depth in the DBs than anything else. Once you get outside the first 3 rounds the odds of a diamond in the rough in the front 7 seems highly unlikely. I was looking at Golston he seems to be development pick. Moses at 138 seems like a wet dream. A lot of the mocks I did he very seldom made it out of the 75-100 range.

What’s “refreshing” about not following experts? The statement alone is an oxymoron. Are you suggesting watching a couple of YouTube videos and then speaking in absolutes is a better way to go about it?

If your message is to not value just 1 guy too much, I can agree. But any fan pretending as if they can come up with a full and valid evaluation of these prospects is delusional. Especially when we are talking about CB’s since all-22 camera angle is almost essential. Watching what you can and then gathering info from as many legit sources as you can to formulate an overall opinion is about the only way to go about it. And I’d say Brugler is universally accepted as 1 of the best 5 or so sources...

Its only an oxymoron if you think they're actually experts which I dont. Next time I'll put it in quotations to show the sarcasm.

Sure he meant so called experts.

Sure he meant so called experts.

I know what he meant. And I stand by my comments that both you and him are completely delusional if you think you are actually fully evaluating these prospects like any legit “expert” does.

Thats fine, the problem is in every profession there are good and bad and there are a ton that just go along with what the others say. There are a lot of guys who get it right and there are a lot of guys who get it wrong. I know what my eyes are telling me and I like what I see a lot more from Horn than from Surtain.

The Florida St DEs fit the bill of development picks you can get late. Who knows where Odeyingbo goes after his achilles. He is likely to be at a bargain spot.

What I would do using only players Brugler has going at or after our picks-

10- Patrick Surtain, CB Bama
44- Boogie Basham, DE Wake
75- Daviyon Nixon, DT Iowa
99- Pete Werner, LB Ohio St
115- Jaylon Moore, OT W Michigan
138- James Wiggins, S Cinci
179- Jamie Newman, QB Georgia
227- Dazz Newsome, WR NC
238- Kene Nwangwu, RB Iowa St
