I’ve gone on record recently that I am opposed to trading up for Pitts, mainly bc the draft capital to move up is far too valuable to our defense. I’ve changed my tune a little bit..
I still don’t want to trade up (for anyone, to be clear) and I also don’t believe Pitts will fall to 10.. but if Pitts is there at 10, Dallas absolutely must draft him. Pitts is a stud and will compliment our offense just fine, exp next year when Gallup moves on and/or Amari (and his salary) is cut/traded. I could easily see a scenario next year of:
Amari, Lamb, Pitts (or) Lamb, Gallup, Pitts
Either way.. next years receiving core will look different due to Gallup’s or Cooper’s contract demands. Pitts would ensure we keep a high octane offense together.
I must admit though, The Pitts factor is a struggle for me bc IMHO I believe the best scenario to strengthen our team in this draft is to trade back and draft as many top 100 defensive players as possible... but the possibility of drafting a future superstar like Pitts is too tempting.
lol.. I guess what I’m saying is.. I don’t know what to do?!
