Dak needs OL Slater with the 10th pick

OR

TE Pitts (even if Jerry has to surrender his 3rd Round pick to move up in a swap of No. 5 for No. 10)

Don't like this scenario? Why?
A Slater could protect Dak from his blind side. A Pitts could make Dak look like a top 10 QB (which he isn't).

So, which is it, Dak chaps?
FA has addressed some FA needs on defence and picks in the 2nd and 4th rounds could help the D further. (And don't be fooled. One high pick for the D is NOT going to totally fix the defence.)

Holla, and brings me a dollah!

daks got him money let him work harder now without all the money around him..sorry but Watson and Wilson have to actually work hard for their money..

this is what happens when you demand that kind of salary..you will start losing players..good luck in 2022/2023 of having gallup and coop here zeke might be gone etc Dak will then have feel of what Watsons going through and to an extent Wilson..

you got it earn it elite players make players better around them, its your turn dak..

Dak has what he needs, his big contract. And he has an offense that is good enough. It's the defense that has led this team down, so time to fix the defense beginning with #10 pick. Maybe pickup a OT or OG in later rounds. But focus on DEFENSE this draft.

If Dalton can complete passes behind a patchwork OL using undrafted street free agents then i'm sure good Ole Dak can manage just fine. Schultz had a career year without Dak for the majority of the games he was forced to start and ended up amongst the leaders in receiving yards for TE's. Shouldn't he or Jarwin who was thought to be better than Schultz be even better with Dak at QB then Dalton last year? We do not lack for weapons on offense, at any position but we do on defense at all of them.

I agree on OL Slater. But give up a 3rd rounder to swap 10 for 5? And what blend are you currently enjoying? Keep hittin' it, maybe we can get Aaron Donald from the Rams with our 4th rounder.

Banana tops with Austin street product.

...they say the team goes as the offense goes. If I'm Dak, I want some meat N potatoes in front of me. Not to mention, he's Jerry invested project. Have to protect those assets.

It would take a 2nd to move up to 5. Besides that, Cinci isn't doing it. I'm pretty sure they're staying at 5. If Dallas wants Pitts they have to move to 4. Unless they're ok with Sewel if Pitts is gone. Then 5 is ok.

Trading up to 4 would be a problem. Atlanta isn't going to care about any draft value chart. They're probably going to want a king's ransom.

I want a trade down and defensive pick like Moehrig, Horn and a DT.

Dak is a top 10 and doesn't need another TE. now, I wouldn't mind a LT, given Smith has been injured the past 5 years (and before you go on and reading into this that he needs a strong OL, every QB needs a protecting LT, that's why they go in the top 5 and even first over all).......so I would say drafting a LT with potential in the middle rounds would be good allowing him to develop and there is a few of those.

what says you?

FA hasn't addressed much on defense.....normally you get problematic players in FA. injured. old. head cases. nobody of real value hits the market and if they do, they are over priced..

I'm waiting for a QB to carry a crap team to the Super Bowl without elite players.
Should be fun! I'm sure it's happened many times.

How many titles has Aaron Rodgers carried his team to?
Drew Brees?

1?

Wow. Were those teams crap too?

No, no, no!

Early round picks should be used for Defense.

The Cowboys can go after OT James Hudson either in the 3rd or early 4th rounds. He's good enough to back up either O-Tackle positions.

O-Tackle James Hudson: 6'5", 310 lbs.

-or-

The Cowboys can go another route...

If OT James Hudson is taken but OG Quinn Meinerz is available, Cowboys should get him either in the 3rd or early 4th rounds...

They could plug in O-Guard Quinn Meinerz at Left Guard and move Connor Williams to Left Tackle where he naturally played in college while at Texas. Quinn Meinerz is good enough to start at Left Guard if need be. Check him out...

O-Guard Quinn Meinerz: 6'3.5", 325 lbs.
