I've thought about this quite a bit....

Passing on Phillips and watching him torture us for a decade as an example.

Trading down for a stiff while those two nail the picks...

Bottom line is they need to get the pick right, and I'd much rather be picking at 10 and have this problem than be picking at 12.

I think at least one of them finds a stud WR in their lap though.

I fear that if the Cowboys want a CB what will happen is Surtain and Horn go 11 and 12.
Or like you say Waddle and Smith go 11 and 12

They weren't taking Surtain at 6 even if they stayed put. They probably would've taken Chase .

Completely agree, he was more of an example.

With maybe a touch of lamenting how if we pass, that'll be the reason and he ends up fine and it haunts us.

Honestly he’s talented but he’s the guy I hope we stay as far away from as possible. The guys already quit on his team once. What are the chances he does that after he gets paid?

I've had dialogue here recently on the subject and I'm on the same side as you.

His name was just an example of what would sting most. That's all.

In the end, I couldn't take the chance at 10.

My UM fan buddy likes Rousseau better anyway. I'm sticking to my prediction that we end up with one of these two....but I sincerely doubt Dallas chances that pick on Phillips. Jerry may be tempted, but the kid won't stand for it.

They're picking 11 and 12, they're likely gonna get a good player we have to play against for a long time no matter what.

Don't draft afraid. There's 31 other teams and they're all gonna get better on draft day. You can't let concerns about what happens at 11 mess up your strategy at 10. Thats being too clever for your own good.

I hope the Eagles move ahead of us and take Surtain.
That means they didn't take Pitts, Sewell or Slater.
If the Cowboys move up it shouldn't be for Surtain because Horn will still be there.

I don’t care who the new HC is in Philly they need WR’s. They have none. They drafted the TCU kid last year but he was injured all season.

The Gents probably go D, either Baramore or Parsons. That’s scary.
