Horn in our System

I am pretty sure that I would take Surtain over Horn. However, If Surtain is gone, I have questions about Horn's ability to play in this system. I keep hearing about taking Claiborne, who was a man to man guy, and putting him in a zone system. This was not his strength and played like it. There are plenty of other examples of a player brought into a system that wasn't their game and who didn't work out. So my question is can Horn play in Dan Quinn's system and flourish? Any thoughts on this?

It’s a valid concern. I don’t like his tackling. There’s no question he has talent but reminds me of Marcus peters. Good player but has already been on 3 teams because he kind of does his own thing.

That’s very true, only 2 ints.

To be clear, I don't put everything on INT totals, but he's given up more TDs and has more penalties than Surtain in like ~900 less snaps.

Quinn's cover 3 is press, then bail. Both Corners have the ability and length to be good press corners, think Horn actually has a little better quickness to react playing zone. I think both corners are on the same level, think Surtain might be maxed out, where Horn has a bigger upside potential. Surtain is safe, Horn you is more of a long-term projection.

The front 7 of Alabama helped Surtain way more then the front 7 on Horns team.

Feel free to detail how much and how you know that.

When you're done with that exercise please inform everyone your thoughts on what the perfect balance of sucky surrounding talent is to judge whether an individual is benefiting or not?

If Surtain goes top 9, that likely helps push down someone we didn't expect.....and thats how you end up with Sewell or Pitts.

I don't at all think it'll be a take Horn because Surtain is gone scenario.

I don't think either one of these Corners are really Ball Hawks, but honestly in the Seattle Scheme, it's the FS that is the Ball Hawk. This is why I don't like the idea of drafting a Corner in the first round, but what do I know?
