Surtain vs Horn Question

Which one is the better tackler? More aggressive and not shy about contact?

I understand Surtain has shown a weakness in the deep ball. If he also isn't a contact guy, then this could be critical.

I read where Horn is the more aggressive. But he also has a hole reading route combinations. But has that cornerback self assurance.

Just player vs player, which is the best in your opinion?

The reality is that Horn had to prepare for both boundary positions as well as the slot every game. Surtain played RCB. Studying route tendencies is much easier when you only have to worry about the right side.

Surtain is the better wrap up tackler. He runs behind piles most of the time though while Horn has much more willingness to stick his nose in.

Horn outproduced Surtain in terms of completions, completion percentage, YPA and TD while having the worst pass rush in the SEC and covering the oppositions best receiver. Surtain enjoted the SECs best pass rush and covered whoever they lined up on the right side.

Horn is a better athlete in every way. Faster, quicker, stronger, more explosive.

Surtain's floor is higher because he needs to be taught less in terms of technique and timing but Horn's is not much lower and his ceiling is much much higher.

My gosh, I have never seen someone try to pass more made up “facts” than you?

Anyone that has watched just one of Surtain’s games or YouTube cutups can demonstrably show Surtain played both sidelines (LCB/RCB).

What do mean Horn outplayed Surtain, lool?

Over the same amount of time (2018-2020) Surtain has:
- (i.e. lower) completion % against
- Significantly lower QB rating when targeted than Horn
- Gave up less TDs despite playing 900 more snaps than Horn
- Far fewer penalties than Horn despite playing 900 more snaps
- More interceptions

You clearly haven’t watched a single snap. Surtain has covered DK Metcalf, CeeDee Lamb, Pitts, S. Williams, et cetera.

But please, trot out Surtain’s high school 20-yard shuttle again.

I’m happy for either of them. I’m not a film buff but I love what I’ve seen from both. I am a bit enamored with Horns brashness

So then, you don't believe the difference in forty times, and the comments about Surtain losing his position on deep balls is a concern?

I personally want to limit my cb 1s tackling. It'll prolong his career. Champ Bailey would've lasted way longer if he wasn't such a good tackler.

I read Horn is sometimes too aggressive. Do you see that as a detriment or an advantage. Surely his forty time is damn impressive.

Right, because 15 years as a pro could have maybe been extended.

If this was sarcasm, well played. If you were serious...Really?

Difference in 40 times?

Setting aside that these are unofficial Pro Days times, Horn ran a 4.39 and Surtain ran a 4.42. What am I missing here?

Surtain gave up just one (1) pass last year longer than 29 yards.

4.42 pro day is 4.52-4.55 combine z

which Is why id prefer fairly. both revis and mo Claiborne ran 4.39 at their pro days. They also both ran 4.50 at the combine. every year pro day times are way faster than combine times.
The injury we can rebuild you enigma looms heavily on the 2nd day for this franchise.
Tough to see a potential stud talent like Farley floating around in the 2nd round and not make a play for him still.

I was speaking of this past season. Nice strawman though.

Who ran a 4.5 at what combine? There wasn't any combine this year
