News: ESPN: Cowboys 'impressed' with Dak's rehab progress

Last time I checked no 300+ pound defensive linemen were chasing Dak in the off-season.

Is somebody in the media asking these rhetorical questions or are the cowboys just putting out pressers to make sure other teams know we are NOT looking at the Qbs in the draft?

Bingo. Dak is 9-11 in his last 20 starts. But nobody wants to talk about it. Just pay the man and hope he becomes the QB his contract says he should be.
I'm not totally on the Dak bandwagon, though I think he is a great leader. I think I can state a majority of the Cowboys losses during Dak's career are due to our incredible defense. Incredibly horrible.

The legend of the 5 year, 1-2 playoff record Qb that hasn’t won squat, can only grow with this fan base.....the rest of the NFL knows better

Never before has so much asss kissing been bestowed on someone who has accomplished so little.
Do you not remember Romo?

This fanbase has switched from demanding greatness to being happy with the lovable losers. If you remember, when Dak was 13-3 the fanbase wanted Romo back. The fan base didn't truly accept Dak until he put up a whole lot of empty stats in 2019 and went the old familiar 8-8. It reminded them a lot of their first lovable loser hero. That is when the fanbase said "Jerry needs to bank up the brinks truck for this man".

The once proud Dallas Cowboys fanbase has fallen far that they not only happily accept mediocrity, but they praise it also.

What about in 2019 when our defense held three of our opponents to grand totals of 12, 13, and 17 points and we lost all three of those game? Dak threw a total of ZERO TDs combined in those games.

Daks poor play was the reason we went 8-8 instead of 11-5 in 2019. It wasn't the defenses fault.

9-11 is bad, but if you want to see bad check his recent numbers against actual good teams.... yikes.

His recent numbers and record against playoff caliber teams is abysmal.

This is great news. Hopefully that running gingerly is out of his mind/system.

I know which is why I advocated against signing him all offseason. He's Romo 2.0. Lots of big numbers but rarely steps up in big games. Lord knows we can't surround the guy with more talent.

That is just factually inaccurate.

I don't care which side of the Prescott argument you are on, is anyone surprised at this considering his work ethic?

This is the guy that made Aikman change his stance on accuracy being fixed at this level and again, no matter which side you are on, the man improved from his rookie season. He is not Rodgers with accuracy and will never be, just like 99% of the other QB's in the NFL, but he improved every year, including the last one before he got injured.

My concern was not the physical healing of that ankle but the mental state when large bodies start falling around that ankle. That mental part can be tough. There are RB's that are never what they were before a knee injury and one of our best D players ever, Kevin Smith, could never get back mentally where he was before that Achilles injury.

That ankle is his plant foot and therefore behind him where he cannot see it and they may need to keep a TE on his right side for extra protection until he gets used to it again. Tacklers don't have to hit him low to torque that ankle, they can hit him mid level and drag him down and accomplish that. Would they do that? Dunno but there are probably some a little jealous that he's making 3M+ for just playing in that one game.

....and Manning was drafted into a terrible team whereas Dak walked into an ideal situation and has gotten worse.
Peyton Manning drafted at the top of round 1 and Dak was drafted as a comp round 4 pick.

Plus your idiotic comment that Dak walked into an ideal situation and has gotten worst is just that...... idiotic and false.

Dak went into training camp and was the 4th QB and ended up starting week 1 and took Romo job that put him into retirement
