I know, I know, he was such a pedestrian player. 8 games a year. And in those games, spotty play and dazzled, confused and listless as speedy receivers and RBs sped by him.

Will he make the ROH?

Any other fan base would laff it off.
But here in Jerry Land, where mediocre is our comfort zone and 8-8 seasons are so satisfying, ... who knows?
My guess us 70% of you lovable louts would induct him into the ROH and then clamor for his induction to the HOF!

But let's be fair. Straight up, Cowboys fans, will he be in those ROH?
If not, why. Because me fellow ruffians here think he is all-universe. Heh.

Mods, can we get a poll? No? I have video of that wild mods party in December...
I vote YES just to message me funny bone.

I would vote no. To me, the ROH should be for guys who consistently contributed at a high level on the field. Lee did that when he was on the field but also wasn't on the field for a good part of it. Heart and being an upstanding competitor is nice and all but I would want cold, hard, consistent results more than a feel-good-about-the-guy kinda entry.

Had he been healthier, had the Cowboys experienced at least one legitimate Super Bowl run, then yes.

Unfortunately, he is among the many players that exhibited elite play, flashes over the course of his career, only to have it circumvented by constant nagging injuries.

Calvin Hill, Ralph Neely, and Kevin Smith are among those Cowboys that shared a similar fate.

Which Ring of Honor members to this point have been mediocre players or had mediocre careers?

None. But in little Sean's case, I am calling out the unadulterated love for him that makes him a Cowboys giant when, in fact, he's a blip in Cowboys lore.

Yu are calling out people for something they haven't done? Where is this wave of calls for Lee to be in the Ring of Honor, much less the HOF?

The effusive love for him prompted a basic question: Is he then ROH material?
Or is he just a squashed fly on the screen door?

You said you were calling people out. Now it's just an honest question?

Clearly the love for him is based on the healthy moments over his career. That's what people talk about. But are they praising his career as a whole, or are they lamenting what could have been had he stayed healthy? I think the comments about him overwhelmingly indicate the latter.
