Unbothered by slick footballs or slippery footing, Mills completed 50 of 54 passes during a throwing session scripted to highlight his feathery touch, mobility in the pocket and knack for mixing arm angles. It was a reminder of why Mills was once the top-ranked quarterback in the 2017 class, ahead of the likes of Mac Jones and Kellen Mond, Jake Fromm and Tua Tagovailoa.

“The feedback we got was that it was one of the best pro days some of these NFL people had ever seen,” Mills’ private quarterback coach, David Morris, told Yahoo Sports. “The most impressive thing was that he was totally unfazed by being in bad conditions. It was pouring rain, 50-degree weather, and he never looked down at his hand, never asked for a dry ball, never freaked out about a dry towel. He just went through the script.”

Still, just a Pro Day basically throwing against air, but how he handled the weather is impressive.

I would guess with near certainly that 1-2 of the QBs taken after the anointed top 5 will have better careers than a couple of them and maybe more.

One of the best things that can happen if we miss out on the CBs at 10 is to trade down with MIA (maybe they want Slater) to 18 and get their 2021 2nd, then have Chicago trade up with us for Mills (to leapfrog WFT, who needs a QB) and add a 2022 2nd or 3rd.

Agree completely, I just hadn’t seen much on him and thoughT I’d post this to add to the QB list. Might cause some teams to look a different way in the early rounds. As you said impressive in the rain and there is a high percentage a few of the top ones won’t work where they land
