Report: 49ers offered No. 3 overall pick, plus more, for Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers as a 30 year-old? No thanks.

Aaron Rodgers as a 37 year-old? Absolutely (especially with his cap number).

If I'm GB, I take #3, trade down and accumulate capital and give Jordan Love some time to establish the next generation of a GB championship run.

I agree except that Green Bay strongly feels they can win a Super Bowl still with Rodgers.

People forget that they easily could've beaten Tampa Bay in the playoffs last year with a bounce here or there. 31-26 final.

If they felt the window was shut this would, imo, be a no-brainer

Rodgers did everything he could to lose that game. It’s very rare the opposing QB throws 3 picks and you still lose. Rodgers has choked most of his career in big games come playoff time. Yet he’s regarded here and by the league as one of the best. I’m tired of the media and our fans grovelling to this guy like hes God. It’s disgusting

True but if Rodgers is going to be unhappy, that can set things in a bad direction for the franchise.

Tough spot for GB IMO, if this report of Rodgers wanting out is true.

Yeah, against a dominant defense who owned everyone on the post season
Rogers only threw for 346 with 3 TDs and 1 int
Under constant duress
Get freaking real

It is true. Packers have been flying guys out to the West Coast to no avail. They have offered him more money. Still no. As Marcus Spears says, when a player turns down money, he is DONE.

True
If he wants out, maybe they should take that trade

Ok. Let’s discuss the Atlanta game. And the Seattle game. He’s constantly lost games in big moments. Dak had a huge game against Green Bay. But. He lost and that’s all we hear about here. Why doesn’t Dak get the same treatment from his own damn fans

Could still happen.

Who does the Pack take with #3? Pitts? Do they take #3 and immediately trade back to another QB-hungry team?

I don't believe it but the Dolphins should send 2 1st and 1 2nd for Arod. They still get Lamarr Chase.

What's Dak have to do with this thread?
I said nothing about Dak.

This is what I think too. The 49ers are in win now mode. But so are the Packers. Why would they trade their source to win to another team? That 3rd pick could land them a future great QB. Or more likely another Sam Bradford type.
