Clearly you don't know Smitty's game. Smitty is usually gone way past you before you can take your first step. If he stays healthy, he would be hard to stop. I see him giving us problems just like DeSean Jackson in his early days or even worse.

They don't have Donovan McNabb throwing him bombs.

I am not all that concerned about Philly getting Smith.

Agreed did not think about their QB position, I am not too worried with Jalen Hurts at the helm. That is unfortunate for Smitty at the moment. If they don't develop Jalen or get another QB, they would waste Smitty's career.

At 166 lbs , Devonta Smith is being counted on to being their #1 WR . Jalen Reagor couldn't handle it and he is faster than Devonta...Slender Man is going to get killed in the Pros. He doesn't have Jeudy,Ruggs,Waddle,or Metchie helping giving him single coverage as before. Right now Micah Parsons runs faster than Devonta. That video above is what will happen if he is asked to go over the middle .

He did not have second WR helping out half the season last year after Waddle went down. He was able to carry the load himself and still was unstoppable. There is a reason why he won the Heisman. I know he is not the ideal size right now, but that does not mean he cant gain weight in the Pros.

Big difference DeSean jackson was fast Devonta barely broke 4.5 at 4.48. In comparison Parsons 4.39

166lb running a 4.48 vs 245 lbs running a 4.39. What happens again? Oh that's right

Smith is a hell of a player and I think he will have a good career, but thank God that Philly didn't get Justin Fields with that pick.

The Eagles aren't going anywhere with Hurts. They have two 1s to use next year and probably plan on trading the farm for their guy in the 2022 draft, but I really doubt that guy ends up being a better prospect than Fields, or that they end up getting a franchise QB for just a freaking extra 3rd.

Philly is falling apart. Aging vets, high picks not panning out Hurts now the QB .

Hurts running around and not the biggest.

Devonta & Reagor Small WRs

Secondary does not scare me

The whole defense doesn't scare me.

O- line doesn't scare me.

Philly is going to experience when they meet the Cowboys.

I will let time speak for itself. I don't like to predict a path for any player coming out of college. If I had those powers, I would be in a casino instead of chatting on here :muttley:

I don't know where these arguments start but Da'Vonta Smith's and Parsons's futures are not tied together.

Smith is going to have a very successful career in the NFL despite his size. Have we forgotten Cole Beasely? and CeeDee Lamb is a little frail too - especially his legs.

How did Jaelin Reagor do for Philly last year?

What makes you think Devonta Smith will be any different?

Hurts is a below average QB. It's going to be fun pummeling them the next several years . Remember NO MERCY !! Don't forget the games the Eagles would drop 40 on us. PAYBACK TIME for being classless .

Because Da'Vonta Smith is a much better receiver than Reagor. Reagor wasn't even the best WR on the board when the Eagles drafted him. Give Smith credit. He is a really good WR, with amazing quickness on his first step. Watch his college games, the guy beats everybody in 2 steps. He will succeed in the NFL for the same reasons he succeeded in college. I am no fan of Hurts, but Hurts will have a target to throw to in Smith.

Jackson was more like 160 coming into the league and never got to 170 even after he "filled out." But Jackson was a legit 4.3 burner. There are corners in the NFL who simply cannot keep up with him so if they don't get help or get their hands on him they're toast. I don't know that Smith has that kind of speed. That doesn't mean he can't be productive but I think asking him to replicate what Jackson was might be a tall order. Frankly for all the talk of his lighting the Cowboys up I think Jackson will finish with a significantly below .500 record against the us.. pro-football-reference has him at 6-11 in his career against the Cowboys with a catch percentage of just under 56%. If Smith turns out like that I will be fine with it.
