Grade: -A

Key Picks: Micah Parsons (LB, Penn State), Kelvin Joseph (CB, Kentucky), Osa Odighizuwa (DE, UCLA), Chauncey Golston (DE, Iowa), Nahshon Wright (CB, Oregon State), Jabrill Cox (LB, LSU)

Analysis: Traded down after missing out on top two cornerbacks and landed Parsons, maybe the draft’s best overall defensive prospect. Their first six picks were defense after setting a franchise record for most points allowed in 2020.

I’m going to go B.

Parsons was a great pick.

Joseph is very talented if he can keep his head on straight.

The 3rd rounders were disappointing, not that the players don’t have potential, but they should have used them to move up and grab another top 50 player.

the rest of the draft..... it’s a crapshoot anyway. Though I am happy they drafted a true 1T type guy, even if it was late.

I don’t know about a grade. But I think Parsons is going to be a star. Cox and Joseph are going to be very good. And Osa will be a quality contributor in the middle. If any of the other players hit I think this will be a successful draft.

If they just hit on Parsons, Boss Man, Cox and Ball this wil be a successful draft. The reason why last years draft was so good is because we hit low cost players like Diggs and Lamb.

I’m pretty critical of this draft because we are drafting top 10 of each round an we have 5 picks in the top 100.

My expectation is that we get 5 starters within 2 years of this draft given how high we are picking. Yet from what I see is bunch of developmental players with potential or back up players.

With 11 picks FO has the ammunition to maneuver and pick up better prospects in 2-4 instead of projections and position switch players. I rather they traded and just pick up 7 quality players instead of 11. Maybe the FO has no confidence in their ability to evaluate the players so they rather throw more darts and hope more will stick.

Tough to give this class a grade but I’ll go C- as well simply because I didn’t like reaching in round 3 like we did.

Which picks are your favorite?

While I wasn’t a fan of using a 1st on another linebacker, that’s not a knock on Parsons’ talent.

The second round corner is boom or bust. The late third rounder gives me AOA flashbacks.

I actually like Gholston, but I think they took him two rounds early.

The Jabril Cox pick was the steal of their draft.

Hopefully Ball can be a solid tackle option.

And I was happy to get any nose tackle at all.

That’s about the best I can say.

I think the only way the corner busts is if he does something stupid off the field.

On it he is as smooth as it gets in coverage. Very natural.

I'd say C. If you look at it historically, getting two starters is a pretty decent draft, and I think both Parsons and Cox are starting material.

The rest of the draft was weird... reaches on unknowns and gambles on all kinds of character red flags. Joseph for example is a dude who's quit on two teams in the last three years. What's the odds of him remaining happy and motivated here on a 4 year contract?

Having all that ammo and not moving up for better talent was stupid.

That was what’s so frustrating about this draft. It’s like they weren’t sure about the players they wanted and just waited for what’s available. Are they worried about going up for specific player and get criticize if they don’t pan out?
They went for quantity instead of quality.

Im going B because so many I dont know about but Parsons,Joseph,Odiggie,Cox are players that will contribute [IMO]and surely down line there are a few more.
2 starters is a successful draft

A I think they aced it. Ballhawks in the secondary, high motor tenacious playmakers for the front 7, a speedy and tall WR with good bloodlines, and some good insurance on the OL in case of injuries.

I certainly hope you’re right. I never root for the Cowboys or one of their players to fail.
