Doesnt strike me as the type of WR that can't play ST. That helps him dress amd eventually stick.

This looks like a way around paying Cedric Wilson when the time comes.

It's OK. CW should make plenty selling #11 lol.

It will be interesting to watch him in preseason. Could have a role as a sub package WR in 2022 with Wilson a FA. If he can move Wilson off that #4 spot he could even be our #3 in 2022

Or he could get cut lol

Listening to his interview with Helman and company after he was picked, he knows that special teams is where he’ll make the team. I’m hoping he can show himself there to justify a roster spot.

I think Wilson is a valuable no.4 because he’s probably the best overall receiver outside of the top 3 (Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup) and is a steady punt returner. I think his spot is secure at least for this season.

I thought Brown showed a lot last year as a receiver. He made a ton (relatively speaking) and is a strong blocker in the run game. I’ve never seen him flash as a special teamer though.

Fehoko could force the Cowboys to carry six receivers if he establishes himself as a core special teamer. He’s got the size but we’ll see if he has the ability and want-to.

Injuries are part of the equation and can thrust players into unanticipated roles.

Noah is noted for his ST's play, but I don't watch for it. I think he's just a bottom of the roster guy, and it's time to get a cheaper one. I like Noah for his toughness and such, but it's time to move on.

He is definitely one of the better mid rd picks IMO. Guys like him are why I was saying WR's like Wilson and Brown don't need to be kept hanging around more. Good WR's can be found through out the draft almost every year, and cost way less.

My dream in the red zone is Vasher (6’6) and Simi (6’4) on the outside for jump balls. Leaving Cooper Lamb to terrorize the slot

You wouldn't notice Noah Brown flash on ST as he essentially a blocker like a TE rather than returner or gunner.

He body catches everything and does not play to his timed speed. There’s a reason he didn’t return kicks at Stanford. I doubt he makes the 53.

Noah Brown and Cedrick Wilson are both on 1 year deals. Next year they are unrestricted free agents. I think Fehoko has more ability than both of them. Considering they will be free agents after this year, I can see Fehoko beat one of them out. I like Brown, but he may be the odd man out. All Fehoko has to do is block a little. Wilson is a JAG, period.

You've got your three starters at WR. You need a stretch guy with massive speed to take the top off. You need a Red Zone specialist who is either quick or can get up enough to win jump balls. I am not sure that Brown or Wilson provide anything but a useful backup against injury for the top three players.

What?? I don’t see him using his body often to make catches. 100% lock to make the squad

How many 6’4 players do you see returning kicks?
This is an awful take.

Last week someone posted Charles Davis 17 guys he would pound the table for. Fehoko was one of these 17. Dallas had chances to draft a few others on his list, but here is what he said about Fehoko:

228f9afa-66aa-4cb7-8613-088f1badcdc2

Simi Fehoko
Stanford · WR
Fehoko set a school record with 23.6 yards per reception in 2019, and then he had an amazing finish to the 2020 season, making 22 catches for 330 yards and three touchdowns in the final two games. At 6-foot-4, 222 pounds, he has the measurables. He has the speed, too (4.43 40 at his pro day). He's been an outstanding team player, but now he understands he can be more of a featured guy. Folks will want to compare him to Eagles WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside because they went to the same school, but I always thought Fehoko was the better prospect. He's a better route runner and I think he's better with the ball in his hands after the catch. He can be a complete receiver, and I view him as an ascending talent.

Seemed to me like they signed a TON of UDFA WR.

Aaron Parker is still around also.

Lot of dudes for one job...but maybe they go a bit heavy here in anticipation of losing Gallup.
