Why not? Because Balt released him in 2020 for two reasons:
  • He’s nuts.
  • He’s not that good anymore.
So after a year off and no other teams showing much interest, only a foolish, desperate organization with no real strategic clarity would make this move....Which has me worried that we’re about to see Stephen Jones giggling in an introductory presser soon. Please...god, no.
He wasn’t that bad there but I suspect there is a reason besides play on the field that they let him go and not one team touched him last year

AB has issues but I don’t know that he’s a problem in the locker room
By what I’ve read ET was
Here’s what the Baltimore Sun had to say about Thomas upon his release in 2020:

“The Ravens made the right decision in terminating the contract of safety Earl Thomas III. They had too much to lose in a season in which they are heavy favorites to win a third Super Bowl title in the team’s 25-year history.

The team announced the decision Sunday, two days after Thomas was involved in a heated dispute with fellow safety Chuck Clark toward the end of practice. The Ravens concluded that Thomas’ personal conduct had “adversely affected” the team.

The move was slightly unusual because coach John Harbaugh and the Ravens have shown a willingness to give players second chances in the past, such as tight end Nick Boyle, outside linebackers Terrell Suggsand Sergio Kindle and cornerback Jimmy Smith. The Ravens didn’t release Ray Rice until after video emerged of the star running back punching his then-fiancée Janay Palmer in the elevator of an Atlantic City casino.

But there was more at stake with Thomas than with some of the other troubled players. Thomas, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, Super Bowl champion and one of the best to ever play his position, alienated a lot of his teammates to the point in which they didn’t care if he returned or not.
For a team like the ravens, known to give lots of guys “extra chances”, when they said they had had enough of ETs locker room disruptions, that speaks volumes.

A big no thank you.

Ravens sent him packing
No one touched him last year
Don’t think his issues have anything to do with Jason Garrett
Literally no one wants him and he can still play
That should tell you something

Some around here were willing to send a 1st a few short years ago. lol I'm more apt to stick with a younger player in this situation, but if Quinn can squeeze anything, I'm OK with that too. What we had wasn't working. Are we still worried about disrupting the locker room at this point? The team is soft to begin with if a 32 year old comes in and effects that. The Ravens overpaid and it ended badly.

When your teammates vote you off the island word gets around the league. You can be a jerk in your prime, but when you decline no one wants to put up with it.

Before this year, I would’ve said no.

Team has some dogs now. Parsons, Joseph, Bohonna, Cox. I look forward to trash talking and hitting people in the mouth

I ant to see if Wolf Hunter gets his option extended and how they are going to play him to keep him on the field.

I don’t think we are. Just Earl looking for a check

To me it just makes way to much sense to not do this deal.

If Antonio Brown can come back into the league than why can’t Earl Thomas? What did he do that’s possibly worse than that guy?

When your teammates go to management and request that they get rid of you, that's never good. His best days are behind him and he's a bad teammate.

Hey we’re into giving 2nd chances right now and this guy has had a HOF career before he started becoming a problem.

They can sign him to their terms and get rid of him if need be.

If anyone knows him it’s Quinn.

I want more wrong kind of guys on this team.
