They don't even put Morbius in there. I really want to see it. Sony?

Edit: Yes, nevermind. It is Sony. That's why.

Oh man! When they showed, "On your left", and the audience cheering, it gave me goosebumps, remembering how it felt being in the audience...and the goosebumps didn't go away until after that whole video was done. All the movies set to come out this year and next...I really hope we can watch them in the theaters again!!!!

Their stuff is played out, and the human actors are too old. They need to axe everyone except for grut, and start off in a different way.

It is not marvel, but I am ready for avatar 2.

Your opinion is noted. Tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) of other moviegoers around the world hold a different opinion.

Which actors do you consider are too old playing their characters?

'Groot'.

The original Captain America is out (no Chris Evans). Same for Iron Man (no more Robert Downey Jr./maybe). The Hulk's return is questionable (Mark Ruffalo out/maybe). Black Widow's run will end with this year's solo film (adios Scarlett Johansson). T'Challa will not be returning since Chadwick Bozeman died in real life and Marvel/Disney will not reprise the role.

Not everyone but some actors and characters are gone going into Phase 4. And the OP video demonstrates a storyline change between the prior three MCU phases and the upcoming one.

I do too. Tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) of other moviegoers around the world share your anticipation.
If Brie Larson is out then that's progress
You may not have watched the video. $426 million worldwide box office, extremely widespread appeal and hopefully continued good health ensures Larson's return also. In my opinion, Captain Marvel will play an even larger role in Phase 4 based on the current, more 'cosmic', change in storyline--especially with the introduction of The Eternals. That is progress from where the MCU has been thus far.

Captain Marvel is consistently ranked as one of the worst 2 MCU movies. She's too over powered and the way they wrote her out of End Game (until the end) was lazy, as well. Not to mention, she's the worst actor out of the bunch.

Chris Hemsworth, while awesome, is going to get too old for the part as is Tom Hiddleston. Why? Asguardians live a LONG time and these two actors are aging at a human pace. It's the same problem with anyone playing an immortal-like character for a length of time.

Meh. Marvel has great anti-aging tech that is getting better and better. They can do 1-2 more movies with him in it.

Awhile back in another unrelated discussion, I said my opinion about films aligns with the audience's, paid critics or neither. This is one of those times where my opinion is more like the paid critics than the audience. I have no problem with anyone saying I am wrong.

On the other hand, Captain Marvel was not overpowered in film in relation to her comic book version according to Marvel.com:

I am curious about "the way they wrote her out of Endgame (until the end) was lazy".

One thing I have learned here in the Off-Topic Zone since the character's movie premiered in 2019:

Some folks do not like Larson. Her character. Or both.

We will also see how personal appearance translates on screen, both large and small. Another thing of note is that film and television productions are often completed months or even years of advance of general release to the public. Finally, I am not certain how much longer Hemsworth and Hiddleston will be reprising their characters.

Those graphics just prove my point: People didn't like her character or the movies. Maybe critics did, but audiences and fans didn't.

They wrote her out of end game by giving her some excuse about being busy doing other stuff. That's actually pretty close to the line she used, but paraphrasing. They made her too powerful and have to work around her, since she's basically Superman.

I said my opinion leans towards the critics. Plus, you are generalizing all fans according to my posted graphics--which is not exactly accurate.

Captain Marvel is a cosmic hero, even decades back when the character was male. The character was never Earth based...

They made her too powerful and have to work around her, since she's basically Superman.
Perhaps but how does that differ from how Marvel itself portrays the character in print before her introduction into the MCU?

Rotten Tomatoes and its supporters has shown they're disconnected from the fans (not saying you). Normies may not care one way or another regarding a movie, consistency, or being canon, but the fans that generally care more about these things have shown hollyweird cannot help themselves when it comes to changing a character or casting a known disgusting person into that role. Fans don't deserve that.

So MOST of the time when rotten tomatoes and the critics praise something like no other while the fans are on the opposite end of the spectrum there is a clear divide. And we all know hollyweird has agendas to push and actors to support, no matter what happens to the movie itself.

Good grief.

There will be no more insinuations, assertions, or possible outright political assertions on this thread. Do not quote any other members' insinuations, etc., either.

Post one video about movies and it is on the way to being locked--by me no less--before it can get to the second page. Sheesh!

Yea, if there was one mistake Marvel has done, it was her character IMO.

Her powers, and her being out of End Game till the end was meh.
IIRC she made some comment about doing something else in the Universe but the Avengers were only facing the guy who wanted and did wipe out half the population in the Universe. No big deal.

While I'm looking forward to phase 4, at the same time there is some losing interest maybe just due to the shear length of this run.

And while the TV series have been good in time killing, they also felt like spinning wheels at time.
Sure, we got some more knowledge of Vision, Falcon became Capt America and US agent has some type of role now.

I didn't watch Captain Marvel

Scarlett Johansson is too old
Any Character that is a so called "god" or a long life span alien type char that they have been using is too old, thor, lokie and so on. Them aging doesn't fit their role

They wrapped up infinity stone story line, they should end it all

I think they should switch to more of a cgi/animated high quality movie style, that they can do prolonged story lines without the aging factor of the actors. If the technology is not there, it is getting close to where they can do that.

I don't care how much money they make on the movies, or what other people think, it is just my opinion.

I don't understand why so many people have a problem with Brie Larson. I think she did a great job, and she's fairly hot, but not so hot that it's hard to concentrate on the story.
