If he was was a guitar enthusiast we wouldn't even know about it. I don't know much about the suspension/exile from LSU, and that could potentially be the only thing that would concern me. But again, I don't know enough about it to say if it's a red flag or not.

If a kid plays football because he's good at it, not because he loves it, and his passion is for music, I wouldn't be so optimistic that he will change his ways. Especially when he did the other before getting paid. As they say, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

You’re also making an assumption about his feelings and motivations without knowing him or having ever talked to him.

Ultimately we will find out one way or another.
