I already know who I want the Cowboys to draft in 2022 and 2023. I mean they won't, instead they will draft players with major character and/or injury concerns, and then reach like nobody's business in the 3rd round, finally making decent picks in the 4th round or later when Jerry is no longer getting his desired media coverage, leaves the room, and lets the scouts do their job.

But anyway,

I love the draft, I know 2 of those players you mocked.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Tyron is quite done yet. 2-3 years. That’s why we took a developmental OT in 4.

All we have to go on are our own opinions, but I think Tyron is very near the end of he’s not there already. Great draft pick. Great player. Great contract value. Quietly goes about his job.

But he is the walking wounded and has pretty much been nursed along for the past few years. This could very easily be his last year. FredBeard was suddenly out due to illness. I could see a similar scenario with Tyron due to the cumulative injuries.

Tyron is close to the end...agreed. I think it’s 2-3 years away....possibly 1...but that’s why we took a developmental OT in 4 ala Doug Free....and passed on guys like Slater and Darrisaw (I liked both a lot). Dane Brugler says Ball is top 100 if no character concerns, possibly 2nd round.

Until we have an elite D or at least an elite pass rush we aren’t going anywhere. Giants with Eli had it. Bucs had it with both Super Bowl teams. Denver had it.
We had it in the 90’s. I could go on and on. All our stars are on O except perhaps Lawrence...besides that we have a bunch of maybe’s, overpaid and no way/no how guys on D. We need an elite pass rusher will most likely comes in round one.
