Honestly, I could pick out about 30 cornerbacks that could be compared favorably to Joseph.

Some were good to great pros, some were avg to bad pros. Their size and how fast they run have less to do with their success (or failure) than their situation, their coaching, and their desire to compete.

No offense, but there is little basis for this comparison.

Joesph is a faster, more explosive athlete. I know those numbers look similar but that tenth of a second in the forty translates into a few yards on the football field. The only comparison is the team that drafted them. If Joseph wasn't pursuing a career in the music industry, he would have gone higher. Teams were unsure of his commitment to football.

Additionally, Joseph is 21. He's got plenty of room to develop.

I either have dementia or I successfully got rid of my memories of the disappointments of our draft picks from 2008.

Can't remember why MJ seemed to start out strong then faded

Jenkins:
Height: 70.25 inches

BMI: 28.74
Arm Length: 32.13 inches
Hand Size: 9.25 inches

40 Yard Dash: 4.43 seconds
40 Yard (MPH): 18.47 (MPH)
20 Yard Split: 2.56 seconds
10 Yard Split: 1.50 seconds
Bench Press: 18 reps (225 lb)
Vertical Leap: 34.0 inches
Broad Jump: 117 inches
20 Yd Shuttle: 4.40 seconds
Three Cone: 7.21 seconds

Joseph (pro day results so not 100% official):

40 Yard Dash: 4.35 seconds
40 Yard (MPH): 18.81 (MPH)
20 Yard Split: 2.48 seconds
10 Yard Split: 1.44 seconds
Bench Press: (N/A) reps (225 lb)
Vertical Leap: 35.0 inches

Their numbers seem similar. Pro Day results are usually more favorable compared to official combine results
A lot of players look similar in measurements, but do they look the same on film?

Typically smaller guys are suppose to stop, start, and change directions faster than taller guys. Joseph is taller than Jenkins, but Joseph is way more athletic than Jenkins. Bone structure and muscular mass makes everyone move differently. So according to their bone structure and muscular mass they are two completely different players. And it shows up on film.

Measurements are one thing. Actual style is quite another. That's where I think Joseph and Jenkins are quite different.

Joseph is taller than Jenkins. Joseph is faster than Jenkins. Joseph can jump high than Jenkins. Joseph can change directions quicker than Jenkins. But yeah, they are similar prospects...even though they are two completely different people. Sigh!
Exactly. Other than both of them playing the CB position, there are no similarities at all.

Jenkins couldn't play through pain. That was his biggest issue. If he was 100% healthy he was a very good CB, but after 2009 he was almost never healthy. His hip injury in 2010 might have had lasting effects as well.

He and Newman we excellent in 2009. The front 7 played well, but I think the CB's really helped them too. Especially late in the season, Jenkins and Newman dominated people

There's no comparing Mike Jenkins and Kelvin Joseph. One is an old story, while the other is a new one -- it's a lame idea.

There are a lot of players with similar measurables. Some know how to use what they have, others do not.

That's one of the things that makes it difficult to make the right pick. You can have a player with great measurables who just can't play the game and a player with terrible measurables who understands what he needs to do to maximize what he's got.
There are people working at McDonald’s with similar measurable lol

They seem very similar as prospects. I think Joseph's career will unfortunately be similar. What are the key differences if any?
2 people couldn’t be less similar. What are you talking about?
