If Dak could've squeaked by teams 17-13 in 2019 we would've won the division. Instead we lost games where our opponents scored 17, 13, and 12 points. Dak threw ZERO TDs combined in those games. We went 8-8.

Yet, you're hating on Tebow for getting it done and winning them? Weird.
Exactly . . . its all about perception and personally prejudices.

Tebow is there as a mentor to all the young players they have, nothing more. If he makes the team and makes a few plays, so what.
Urban is not a joke. I still wish we had him here in a way.
He trust Tebow to come in and basically mentor and help out as the off season goes along.

Maybe but then why make him switch to TE? Why not just sign him as QB 2/3?

He needs to compete to get on the field and stay around at least through TC. Everyone knows he can't play QB. I also meant to mentor the young players in general, not as a QB mentor.

Kind of like Haley hanging around to help the DE's, or if Lee hangs around to help the LB's. In this case just as a mentor in general.

Tebow was a terrible NFL QB, there's a reason he fizzled out in the NFL after a deceptively great start. The ultimate shining example that while wins and losses can be a good way to gauge a QB's success, it doesn't work for him. Tebow most likely won't make the Jaguars, feels like a token move by Meyer to let him put on the pads and helmet again. He has been out of football for almost a decade and has almost none of the mental and physical training necessary to be an NFL TE. The time has long gone that Tim Tebow is even remotely relevant in the league.

he absolutely has a point. It’s a damn joke that Tebow is able to sit out of the league for 8 years then come back and get a job

Dez was with Ravens he did not want to be with the Ravens. Dez worse enemy is himself. As for Tebow he tried out with Jacksonville and HC Urban Myers evidently saw enough to bring him to camp.

Dez was severely overrated here, Romo and Prescott made him look better than he was. As did his 73 TDs. Immense physical talent, especially at running to and getting the ball but a severe lack of fundamental tools once the physicality faded. Poor route runner, didn't have the best speed, hands were spotty and he had a knack for making mental mistakes at the worst time. I would take all 3 of our current trio over him in a heartbeat and even TO, who I hated for being a former 49er/Eagle.

I kind of like it. It is sort of a man's fight against father time and mortality. I like to cheer for the older players who can still make the team.

Like Sean Lee, Tyron Smith and Tyrone Crawford?

Dez needs to realize what happens with Tebow has nothing to do with him. I doubt Tebow will have much of an impact because he has been out of football a long time and has to learn a new position.

Tebow was not a good QB. The Broncos got on a good run, but it wasn't even that good of one. They lost their final 3 regular season games in 2011 and that was still good enough to win a terrible division with an 8-8 record. He is highly inaccurate. At a time when completing less than 60% of ones passes is considered inaccurate, Tebow couldn't complete more than 50%. What he and the Broncos did in 2011 was not a recipe for sustained long term success. There was no conspiracy against Tebow. Teams just want better out of the QB position. And there is also no conspiracy against Dez.

The ridiculousness of Tebow being back in the league in any role other than coach or front office is dumb. Dez isn't expressing anything different than half the league.

Soonnn as the news came out, all the folks I follow on twitter called it ridiculous.

It was a catch

Debatable. To me he was completing the process and hadn't fully secured control before it came out as he was making a football move/reaching for the pylon. We most likely don't win that game regardless, I would argue the Byron Jones mistake and the DeMarco Murray fumble were more costly.

Not really debatable
According to New York Giants owner and NFL competition committee member, John Mara, the league reached a unanimous agreement that it should be ruled a completion in the future. They've also acknowledged that it's time to create a clear definition of what a catch is to prevent further confusion.

Well, Tebow never walked off the field before the gun.

And Bryant never put his college team on his back and carried them to championships, milking every bit of limited QB talent he could muster. No, he decided to go against the advice of his coaching staff and teammates and let Sanders help him take his last season of eligibility.

All time least favorite 1st round pick. I know, I know, you Dezzies are going to come dogpile me but this guy has always been about himself. There wasn't a wet eye in the OSU locker room or coaches booth when he was kicked out his last season.

you don’t think a guy playing minor league baseball and working for college football pregame shows for nearly a decade is exactly what nfl scouts are looking for?

I mean cmon give the guy a break. Seems like a reasonable path to an nfl roster spot.....

meanwhile that other quarterback who took his team to the super bowl well he.....
