KC and Tampa should be tough....not the worst schedule on the road. I think I’d rather face them on the road then at home and waste a home game on a tough opponent.

Road wins? Basing determining that on the teams' record last year is a fool's errand. Even basing that on an analysis of the teams' draft, free agent signings and coaching changes is fraught with uncertainty. Think teams weren't penciling in a road win in 2016 when Dallas was to start a fourth round rookie at quarterback and coming off a 4-12 season?

But I'll break with my usual view and be optimistic here:

Giants, Eagles, New England and Minnesota.

Giants and Eagles because historically Dallas splits NFC East games, road wins could be the win. New England is re-building, Minnesota still has Cousins at quarterback, inconsistent.

But I'm not saying that'll happen, at this point anything's possible, Dallas could win the New Orleans and Washington games as well.

Somebody asked, so I answered...

I can see a superbowl hangover for both TB and KC. I wouldn't be surprised to see age catch up with TB this year (it has to at some point, right?). Brady, Gronk, Suh, etc. will start showing their age. KC will still be good, but if their OL falls apart then Mahomes is mortal. Not sure our DL could take advantage of it though. I wouldn't mind getting TB early because I think they will still be on the SB high and may not be fully focused like they will be later in the season. Same for KC trying to get the OL figured out early.

If you are going to be the best, you have to beat the best. If you want to dominate a season, you have to make an early statement.

Once again, we Cowboy fans are going to find out about this year's team very quickly.

I for one will be holding my breath watching Smith, Collins, Jarwin and LVE, can they hold up thorough this first game?

Pretty cake schedule.

Home vs. away means very little in the NFL now

Anything from 3 of those 4 is gravy at this point.
I’m not relying or expecting anything from Smith, Collins, or LVE. Those days are long gone. I’ve moved on to Knight, Steele, Ball, Parsons, and Cox.

Jarwin? No hate on him but probably no difference in him or Schulz. 2 UFA TEs Artavious Lynn (?) from TCU and Eubanks from Michigan look promising. Keep an eye on them.

I am looking forward to seeing the new youngsters play rather than the injury prone players who haven’t delivered for years.

I think thats about what you can expect. Its not terrible if the cowboys have improved like I think they have they should be up to the challenge. I guess well find out early. Game thread on week 1 will not be fun if the cowboys dont come out like gangbusters.

The usual folks will be all over it. Dak, This or Dak that or Defense still sucks and why didnt we draft barmore etc! Quinn sucks too.

Brady's arm is a year older. And it showed at times last year, swell the year before. Having a great defense and surrounding cast on offense helped him more than people realized or want to admit.
Now he is a year older, great shape, but a year older. So yes age will catch up, and I am with you, it will be this year to show even more.

I am no way predicting a win. Heck we don't even know what our defense will be yet. So our offense best be prepared to score some points. But again with their defense, should be interesting. However, once the full schedule comes out, if I do an early W/L prediction, I would pencil this as a Loss, for now.

since 2019, the saints are 8-0 without drew Brees. Their roster is stacked
