We have no idea how those rookies will be. We don't know if they're valuable or not until they show it.

Again, always my go to when I see someone say "Well, if the defense is just average then we will be fine". If that's the case, then tell me what happened Dak's last full season in 2019? We had the #1 ranked offense and a top 12 defense. We went 8-8 and didn't make the playoffs.

I agree that we don't know how the rookies will do. However, they'll have a preseason unlike last year to start to gel a bit earlier. I think the first month of the regular season will be rough on that side of the ball. I think we will see good signs during that month. As the season progresses, I think we will see the rookies come into their own. As for 2019, the defence wasn't as good as some claim. They couldn't stop the run then. I was at the Cowboys Bears game. The D couldn't even stop Mitch Trubisky from scoring on the ground. We got demolished by the Bills the week before that because of horrid defence. Those two games played a factor in us missing the playoffs. We were a better team than the Bears. Our defence was absolutely putrid that game. With Parsons, I don't see QBs scoring on us by running anymore. I don't think we'll go beyond the divisional round. But, I think 11-6 is a reasonable prediction.

Do you know what games played a bigger factor in 2019 then the ones you mentioned?

We lost 3 games in 2019 where our defense held teams to 12, 13, and 17 points. We lost all 3 of those games. Dak threw for zero TDS in those games.

That is the most concerning thing to me. When our defense has been good we still don't get it done because certain players don't pay well against good competition, but they get a big contract for it because they are popular and sells jerseys.

I will say 8-9 with a final win the last game of the season which will be a meaningless game for both teams. And I will stick to this until I see the defense stop critical drives and get off the field.

True, though I don't think that's going to be an issue. With the weapons on offense we have now, if we struggle to score, then I don't know anymore. We simply have the weapons to score a lot now, and Dak is an excellent QB. He got unlucky with the Pats game I should add. Two bs tripping calls. If not for that, I think we'd have beaten New England.

The Oline is close to needing a remake. It's the next project after getting the D to gel.

The Ravens have a semi-balanced schedule with 3 of 4 games on the road to start then season, 4 games at home with a Bye sandwiched in there, then, five of six games on the road, and close out the season with 3 home games.
They have 2 MNF games and a TNF game.

I'm with this, but it shouldn't impact us too much. With Dak, we were frequently posting 35+ points per game last season even with last year's oline, and I like the lineman we drafted as a prospect. Reminds me a bit of Doug Free.

Yeah, Free was hot and cold. The injury hurt his consistency. Untimely penalties, too.

You do know that was 2 years ago. This is 2021. A lot has changed.

11-6
as of now with my rose colored glasses on I usually split our division games at this point.

1: at Buccaneers L, I really want to be different here and say we win.
2: at Chargers W, was going to give this a L, and TB a win. either way we start out 1-1
3: Eagles W
4: Panthers W
5: Giants W
6: at Patriots W
7: Bye
8: at Vikings L, need to have a loss in here within all these wins.
9: Broncos W
10: Falcons W
11: at Chiefs L
12: Raiders W
13: at Saints W
14: at Washington L
15: at Giants L
16: Washington W
17: Cardinals W
18: at Eagles L...meaningless game, starters get rest.

Its really going to be interesting to see how TC turns out. This could be a repeat of last year or we could be a contender. LOL I want to feel good about the season but Im really concerned about this defense. I have concerns about the clarity of how this defense is going to be ran. I have to admit that Quin stating that we were basically going to run the same defensive scheme we had last year with a few of Quinns philosophy tweaks added in didnt inspire me to much lol
I was a bit disappointed in how the FA additions were or weren't added then turning around watching how the draft unfolded has left me worried.
The only way a repeat of last year happens is if Dak goes down.

The danged Jets have no more than one road game at a time this season! They have 2 home games in a row four times but begin and end the season with a road game.
