Yeah, he’s an offensive coach. He has a pretty good offensive mind too… he was just waaaaay out of his element as a head coach.

NY hired him because they wanted to modernize their offense. He certainly isn’t a head coach though. Sort of like a Wade Phillips or a Bill Callahan.

Jerry Jones is the last guy on earth I'm inclined to defend, but both of those guys are old buddies of McCarthy.

Doubt Jerry forced it in either case.
