A bold prediction. I don’t rule it out but I think Lamb is the #1 receiver in 2022 and beyond.

Why is it bold? Before Dak got hurt Lamb was on pace for over 1300 yards receiving. Cooper typically has 1000 to 1100 yards. I dont think thats tough to beat. 6-8 TD's isnt tough to beat either.

For me, because Cooper has been that guy since he’s been here (and before) and I’m not sure that he will easily give up being top dog.

Slot. Gets him on the field more. Washington is doing it with Gibson

On paper, Pollard is the perfect hybrid WR/RB Garrett looked for for years. Seemed to be more of a WR when we got him, but showed that he is a legitimate NFL running back since he's come. Speed for the jet sweeps and getting deep too.

I've beem disappointed that they haven't sent him downfield more often on 1st and 2nd down. That's what will force personnel tradeoffs on the defense.

Seems to be the latest rave in the NFL these days. Meyer is doing it with Etienne, Stealers with Harris to mention a few.

RBs can create mismatches as WR. LBs are too slow to cover a RB in the slot. One can motion a RB into the slot at the last few seconds to create havoc with the defense. Teams will have to dedicate a safety or CB to cover the RB. A RB could block a safety or CB on a jet sweep.

Pollard has size and speed to go deep, and the thickness and speed to take jet sweeps or any handoffs out of the backfield.

Could create big problems for defenses if we start sending him downfield more often. Personnel mismatch, and alignment mismatch.

Big Mac gets a lot of hate here but he said more in one press conference than Garrett said in 10 years.
I don't think no one "hates" Mac's for his pressers. He does coach speak very well. HE says all the right things. I think on Gameday is where most of the hate comes from. I could careless how his interviews go. I can understand why some coaches would be more reserved.

Yep. He's what Garrett wanted Lance Dunbar to be. Perfect for the sweeps and a mismatch nightmare potentially.

Everything is always fantastic and every player is always great if you listen to McCarthy. It's honestly hard to believe a word he says. Jaylon was great and a key player and leader all last year during the year. Blah blah blah

The same thought process could be applied to although we have good TEs we hardly ever call a 2 TE play. We just talk about doing it and never do. Go figure.

Even if it's not what you meant, and it isn't lol.....I don't at ALL miss that stupid Garrett jet sweep.

Awful.

"Creating a role" for McAdoo suggests he owes a buddy a favor and I know Jerry is fine with that.

They are paying him for nothing if you read between the lines of what was said, but it doesn't count against the cap, so fine by me. No one is going to listen to him anyway.

I agree with him on Gregory.

Or maybe they just value him being around the organization and want to use his mind/skillset accordingly. Maybe it's as simple as they feel the team is better off with him in the room than without.
