Do you think it’s possible he was in jail?
Maybe he was scoring some smack.
Perhaps he was purchasing a bengal tiger
Could be he was in the Arctic clubbing baby seals

Or

Holding the hand of his dying mother
Rescuing a chuld from a burning building
Brokering peace in the Middle East
Delivering a baby in the back of a cab

But we don’t know. He just wasn’t in practice ... once

Nice lol. You are 100% on this one brother. We have no idea what happened. He doesn't deserve the scrutiny without any facts.

I know the tweets amount to "nothing" at this time of the year. Except, I'd sure rather NOT see them from someone who had question marks already. The reason he was available in the second round is because his maturity was being questioned. No matter how you slice it, he had some kind of issue with his teams in college.

So, for me the tweets aren't "nothing." I'd much rather not see them at all.

It's no different than the Wright kid. I heard what a reach he was. Even though OTAs aren't training camp, practice or live games, if we were seeing reports of him struggling, it wouldn't be what we hoped for. So, even though OTAs mean "nothing," I am encouraged that Wright's looking good so far.

Fair or not, the tweets about/from Joseph aren't encouraging.

Funny how every time I read something about Wright he's balling out. Would be awesome if he made a bunch of us look foolish.

Absolutely. I hated the pick because I had never heard of him. I don't watch college ball and only know of the guys that I read about on this forum. BUT...I'm not emotionally invested in being right about a draft pick. I know that my opinion about these guys is myopic.

I'm liking this kid more and more. I hope that a year from now all the media outlets are talking about how so many teams missed on this guy.

Very much in line with the level of professionalism I have come to expect from a member of the Dallas Cowboys. Another in a long line of second round Jerry the drunken gambler draft picks.

Sounds like a perfect Cowboy to me. Jerry got his guy.

Off the field issues and character concerns? Problems at not one, but two schools?

Back up the Brinks truck, Jerry, before you are forced to pay him Dak money.
I don’t see how anybody could be surprised if they took time to look past his physical talents on the field. Many fans were so busy cheering for the team because they picked a CB, that they totally dismissed the reasons why other teams had flagged the player for major character concerns. Any discussion about his character concerns was shot down by happy fans during the draft, but cheering for and being a good fan was more important than reality. The reality is that there is nothing in Joseph’s past that indicates that he will be a player without attitude and behavior problems. Joseph being a Cowboy does not change who and what he is. Maybe he will mature and the off the field drama will not be as big of a problem as it has been in the past. Parson’s attitude has been a problem in the past and it was a big enough concern that several teams was hesitant about picking him going into the draft.

he don't need the work. master craftsman can polish it in a matter of days. let the young dogs try to find their way.

which is why coaches are not rushing him back. However Cooper is there at the OTA and working on the side and I do like seeing that.

You haters love this kind of stuff don't you.
The haters don’t like the drama that comes with drafting a player that has a history of being immature and having attitude problems. Cheering and only seeing sunshine with every move the team makes does not change reality and you choose to overlook reality when it comes to the Cowboys. Parsons and Joseph has some serious character concerns before they was drafted. When they was drafted and became Cowboys, those character concerns didn’t go away. Actually, becoming a Cowboy may make the problems much worse. I hope both of them matured and have a great careers, but judging from their past, they will continue to have character concerns.

So, what was the reason for him not being on the practice field? Do you know? Do you know he wasn't in the trainer's room, or the team didn't have him doing something else, or there wasn't a legitimate family problem?

Wondering where he was is reasonable, but condemning without knowing the answer is not.

If he didn't have past issues this wouldn't even be talked about. The only reason it's brought up is because he has a history.

Maybe it was nothing, but he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. I don't wear blinders just because someone plays for my favorite team.

I have seen people say for 6 years that Randy Gregory has finally turned the corner and he's ready to play. His off the field issues NEVER went away. The only reason he will play now is because of rule changes.

He presented a fair argument. Also no such thing as race card

Not a fair argument at all.

1. Not near the same draft position so it is not even close to a fair argument - there is a race card - that was the classic one right there.
2. Josh Ball was at practice!

True, I will say in the case of Parson the incident happened when he was 18 and outside of the incident with Humphries at Penn State has not had any issues. Is Parson a problem player with character issues or was he just a stupid 18 year old?

If you have time some day just go through the secret audio of our picks this year. 11 guys. See if one stands out from the others.

It would take me 5 seconds of talking to this guy to realize I never want him in my locker room.
He sounds like he's ripped. Or half asleep. I dont see anything wrong with it. At the end he says "thank yall for believing in me" am I missing something?

Again, nothing wrong with wondering, it's the condemning without evidence that is the problem.

I'm not even saying we should give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm just saying keep an open, fair mind until more is known. Evidence is what condemns people. A person not being within eyesight of another person is not evidence.

this is a YOU Issue, a Fan issue, not one person in the DC FO or coaching organization cares whether you are encouraged or discouraged with players. They have it handled and worrying about this in early Off season OTAS is a useless waste of energy..we are 3 months away from the real deal..

let it go..fans making it their concern and their business is just internet ramblings and mean absolutely nothing..the issue here is the internet and SM and the media reporting every fart or misstep coming from the teams to generate clicks, thats it..and you all fall for clickbait and help the media when they are reporting garbage. If it actually becomes an issue we can discuss it..

Im sure the DC staff have it covered and the response while odd is just some slang most here doesnt understand and most likely meant he didnt like being judged when there is most likely valid reason for his absence..

worry about you wand what you can control in your life..the rest as they say Dont sweat it
