Our latest and greatest irresponsible second round brat is already showing signs of irresponsibility but rest assured there is nothing to worry about.
So, you know he didn't show up contrary to the Cowboys wishes?

Please provide the link to that story.

Joseph's tweet has me concerned. What does he mean about the ones around him? Is he referring to the Cowboys? That would be a bad thing if he is. Maybe this kid is am immature as some said he was before the draft.

I can't mine anything negative or positive from Joseph's unclear tweet, therefore I won't fall into a pit of despair or ascend in orgasmic rapture.

But i would've preferred that Joseph be in a position where he can hit the ground running, and off to a good start- much in the same sense as we seem to be hearing about Nahshon Wright already making his presence felt.

don't get me wrong, i don't/didnt' expect Joseph to be All pro and dominating day one of OTAs - even Diggs had his dog days in last year's rookie training camp., before he began to get more settled by
camp's end.

But it's not only just unfortunate Joseph is not currently in these set of OTA's but also unfortunately that there has not been any reports that would indicate why KJ is not presently in camp.
Injury related ? ... Family personal matters ?
Yeah I can't say i'm disappointed before I know what the issue is. Hopefully its nothing serious or nothing that will set him back.

Mods will get it, surely.

But while I've got you. Don't you think it's ridiculous that we create these strict standards for a 20 yr old black kid who's created a successful rap career for himself and volunteered to transfer to a different program, but can't call any attn whatsoever to the white dude with aggression problems on record for beating his GF and was actually kicked out of school and forced to transfer? One of these guys presents a potentially serious problem and one of these is a silly problem, and for some reason, we choose to focus on the silly one. Do you wonder why?

I'm glad someone else is thinking this.......some people wanted Joseph to fail the minute we drafted him.......they used the "rapper" narrative as some way of saying he can't play sports and make music in his spare time. They've been trying to discredit him the minute his name was called. I think its disgusting actually. Meanwhile, not a peep about Balls......

Most recognize Joseph's "problems" aren't anywhere close to the "white dude," and his DV. Joseph is a 2nd round pick though. Most don't have the same expectations for the DV player. Joseph could be special.

I don't know where you've been but that particular player has been criticized up and down Dallas radio and podcasts. He's not getting a pass.

But they should. While Joseph was a 2nd round pick......Ball was a 4th rounder....he fit the same narrative that Joseph did.....and we all cherish 4th rounders so let's not act like we are immune to criticizing 4th rounders......

If anyone checks his Twitter feed, he suggests it is COVID-related.

Oh, so I'm the bad guy now. The old man sticking up for the street rapper once again.

Pfffft. He blamed Kentucky on Polio and LSU on the Black Plague. Consider yourself sucked.

We aren't immune to criticizing anyone on this board. Tell me though, have you read a single Josh Ball thread on here after draft day? No one seems to be hyping or trashing him. So no, he's not getting a pass. He's being ignored all together, which tells me most of us think very little of his long term potential here. Like I said Joseph could he special. He's getting hype and he's getting criticism, neither of which are fair.

I haven't even seen many Josh Ball threads on here after draft day.

Yeah thats my point. I can only speculate how others think, but the lack of posts kinda translates to a lack of interest.

Anyone that can't see Ball as a bigger red flag than Joseph is an idiot, for the record.

So, how does any of your response answer the question. What's wrong with me rather not hearing something like this?

Your opinion is yours. No more valid than mine. Mine thought is, "I'd rather the news, no matter how trivial, sound good rather than bad." Your opinion seems to be that we shouldn't discuss anything you deem to be inconsequential.

no!

media shouldnt be even reporting players missing a practice for an unknown reason until more information is rereleased...

are you that thick to understand the TMZs of the world have these small time twitter reporters reporting farts..seriously, when they found out what actually happen, report it , then its debatable until then you are discussing an absence for one practice..its flat out insanity to star the sky is falling uh oh bs talk without knowing why he missed practice..

smh carry on with being a sheep and falling for click bait and furthering an already ridiculous flow of non newsworthy story's..you are enabling these media people to keep reporting when any player doesnt anything just to get clicks..

drama queens , carry on..

Some of this is ridiculous, frankly. Jaylon Smith came out as clean cut as one could be from Notre Dame but once it was reported he was big on starting small businesses, people started to complain that he couldn't focus on business and football. So it wasn't the "rapper" issue that was the problem. It was the fact that he had a serious off the field interest that people were afraid would take away from his football career (or make him lazy on the field because he had something to fall back on).

People trying to apply race to this are overreacting IMO.

Further, Ball got smoked here after his pick. Those threads got cut though because people started getting personal in the threads and the chatter got hot so the mods starting cutting that and even posted that the Ball discussion had run its course and they wanted people to get away from it. So to act like Ball got a pass (because he's white) and Joseph isn't because he's black is a reach IMO and ignores the very heavy discussions about Ball in previous months.

Thick? Drama queen? Sheep? The last vestige of a lost argument is name calling.

Regardless of your persuasive use of all caps and name calling, I'd still rather the little bit we've heard about Joseph was positive.

He's calling people drama queens while having a freak out session over what people should talk about?
Interesting.

I never said it was the "rapper" issue. I'm on record to saying its stupid with Jaylon too and bring up the same example every time. Lebron James is the biggest sports athlete in the country and he has film production companies, endorsements, businesses and it doesn't stop him from playing a high level even at his current age of 36.

But the narrative this whole offseason even when he was drafted was "He wants to be a rapper". As if he can't have a side gig and perform at a high level. We can sit here and pretend like it wasn't but it was.

And its interesting the Ball discussion has run its course but Joseph's "off the field issues" haven't even though we don't even know what his off the field issues truly are.
I think the OG poster brought up a good point about what Risen and others are doing. That's the point i'm agreeing with. Guys like Risen want to see him fail. Its why he's on his Twitter all day everyday waiting for some type of news and that's the part I find sickening. Whether its race motivated or not I don't know but its definitely very odd.

Good thing he can't choose his name for the jersey. "LSU hate me" is available. He was a backup when he was suspended in 2018. Then he transferred to Kentucky, sat in 2019, had some nice games, some ugly, was benched, and opted out of the season after the Florida game where Kyle Pitts treated him like an 8th grade walk on.

If that don't sound like a guy who could quit you in heartbeat, I don't know what to tell ya. For all the positives, he's a immature, undisciplined, character concerning one year wonder who lacks eye discipline, and possibly the ability to play zone, needs work on route recognition and is prone to penalties.

But he's talented! And I've been wrong before,so who knows?

We got race posts, posters freaking out on other posters speculating anything and everything, and something about COVID.

How can we add aliens to this discussion?

Kelvin Joseph wasn’t at OTAs because he was abducted by aliens

The guy misses practice. Someone tweets about it and states that the reason is unclear. Bossman feels no need to simply clarify the situation. Instead he chooses his ridiculous reply. If you don't think any of this is immature then I would hate to see how your children behave.
