Witten was great at diagnosing plays while in the thick of it.
And then he pulled rabbits out of his head while broadcasting.

Broadcasting isn't for everyone.
Yes, I’ll never forget the night Aaron Rodgers pulled a rabbit out of his head.:muttley:

Ted Mack is a good example.

Best of luck Sean. I still think the coaching bug will keep calling him to the sidelines eventually

It definitely isn’t for everyone. See: Joe Montana. He was heavily sought, he tried really hard and said it was a big thing for him post-career, and he was absolutely brutal. He quit in the middle of a Cowboys telecast haha
I remember how bad he was....definitely was not suited for that role.
It will be interesting to see how Drew Brees debuts on NBC this season.

Could be interested in this broadcast opportunity at this time to distant himself from the game (on the sidelines, in meetings) spend more time with the family, etc.

Lee seems like he'd be a terrible analyst. A great football mind but the personality of cardboard.
I have not heard or seen enough of him in interviews to be critical. But hey - maybe there's that side of Lee fans don't see in video snippets that will come through in this tryout for a media role.
