Not some of the greatest plays, but some of the most important . That we don’t win unless we make them. Deion sanders catch in the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh. We were stagnant. Until that play . Can Norton Junior , goal line stop against Buffalo. Demarcus Lawrence strip against the lions in the fourth quarter. Making up for his mistake. Name some of the most important plays you can remember. I know they were a lot of great ones. I’m looking for the ones that truly made a difference though.

Charles Haley against the 49ers. He missed the tackle. But on the next play remember him sacking Steve Young. And then looking over to the sidelines at Jimmy . And saying I made up for it .

Dez catch/non-catch.

DeMarco Murray's strip fumble by Peppers.
I was thinking of the positive plays. But OK my cowboy brother I get it . I wasn’t clear and those are definitely important plays

The Catch by the 49'ers.

Ooh... I hate the 49'ers!

I'll up your Dwight Clark with The Play.....

No play in team history is more famous than the Hail Mary pass from Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson with just 24 seconds left in the 1975 wild card playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. On the verge of losing the game, Staubach heaved a last-second bomb, which Pearson caught by trapping it with one hand on his hip. He danced into the end zone to seal the 17-14 victory.

Romo not handling the snap. Patrick Creighton losing the football, Miles Austin losing the football in the lights. So many negative plays but I think they were so many positive that we don’t win without them

I guess the negs are more prominent in the mind because they are more recent.

I would love for some great playoff moments in this near future.

How can you forget Emmett Smith in the playoffs against the Giants. It wasn’t really a play. It was an action that changed the outcome. Hollywood Henderson. Stealing the bowl from Terry Bradshaw. And then getting cocky .woke the Steelers up

I was at both games....... Alvin Harpers catch and run on the slant in 1993 against Niners at Candlestick and the Dez catch/non catch in Green Bay.

that wasnt a playoff game

I remember the game vividly. It was one of the most important games of my life. I was only 24 but I lost 500 bucks on that game. Cowboys were a 3.5 pt favorite after opening season at home with a 35 to 0 win against the Giants. I thought giving 3.5 was easy money.

Game went to OT, and we all know how those games ended back then... FG, Cowboys win, I lose.

Why was it so important to me? Because it cured me of trying to bet any real money on NFL football.

A ton of great plays in the playoffs in my memory…
  • Bob Lily’s 29 yard sack of Bob Griese in SB VI in Cowboys first SB win.
  • Roger Staubach’s “Hail Mary” to Drew Pearson vs the Vikings in ‘75 divisional playoff win.
  • RB Robert Newhouse’s surprise TD pass to Golden Richards to seal SB XII win.
  • Roger Staubach’s amazing 4th qtr comeback- from down 28-13. His TD pass to Ron Sellers to seal the comeback to win 30-28.
  • Troy Aikman’s pass to Alvin Harper in the 4th qtr of NFC championship vs niners in ‘92 that led to clinching TD.
  • Michael Irvin’s TD catch right before half of SB 27 vs Bills.
  • Ken Norton’s great defensive goal line tackle of Kenneth Davis, also in SB 27.
  • In 1993 NFC Championship game vs niners- after Aikman had gone out with concussion- Bernie Kosar hits Alvin Harper with 42 yd TD pass to seal NFC championship.
  • James Washington’s fumble recovery TD in early second half vs Bills in SB 28. It jump started the team.
  • Larry Brown’s second INT vs the Steelers in SB 30 led to our last TD to seal 27-17 win.
  • Down 20-14 vs lions in 2014 wild card game, Dan Bailey hits a 51 yard FG. We eventually win 24-20.
