I would tell you but you still wouldn’t give him any credit.

He hasn't accomplished a damn thing. What is there to tell or give credit for? He's been a regular season stats machine? Well hell, get the gold jacket ready.

The Dak homers always want to throw out Dan Marino for comparison, another QB who never won a championship. What they seem to forget is that he played in a super bowl and made it to 3 AFC championship games. What has Dak brought to the table again?

All the BS aside, I actually hope he can live up to the sky high expectations he created for himself. It will be all on him if he doesn't.

He'll flat out tell you that Dak is better than Mahomes too. Ask him lol

Imagine what shape the franchise would be in if the Jones family had owned the team from the very beginning back in 1960. I have a hard time believing they would have gone to 8 super bowls with Jerry and his bunch of idiots had been running things starting with the inaugural season.

No chance. Jerry would have gotten jealous and ran all three out of town.

Really the only thing you can be grateful for with Jerry is that Jimmy was his college roommate. That got us 3 more. Thank God for the alphabet.

Just on the Top 5 Cowboys QBs subject:

I have them as...

1) Roger Staubach (won 2 of 4 SB appearances)
2) Troy Aikman (won 3 of 3 SB appearances)
3) Danny White (led team to 3 NFC Championship games in a row)
4) Dak Prescott (best QB statistical start his first 4+ years in Cowboys history)
5) Tony Romo (All Time Cowboys franchise leader statistically overall in a career)

Move Tony to 3 or 4. Morton got to two SB's, shouldn't he be one of the 5? I know he was alternating with Roger but still.

Mostly agree. Good job.
Here are my additions/changes:
Centers
Drop Gurode. Add Tom Rafferty who played in 3 SBs.

Punters
Ron Widby needs to be in that mix. He was a pro bowler and was punter in first SB win.

Outside LBs
DD Lewis ahead of Dextor Coakley. Lewis was a starter in 5 SBs!

Safeties
The great Cornell Green must be at least 3rd on this list. A 3 time first team All Pro and 5 time pro bowler. He played in SB VI and was named to the Cowboys’ silver anniversary team. Should be in the ROH.

- I had to determine if Cornell was a better player at cornerback, than at the tail end of his career when he was converted to safety. In the 60's i would have no idea.
- DD Lewis was a starter but was he ever a pro bowler like Coakley was ? Ditto with Gurode vs Rafferty.

Yea, I can only imagine he was referring to their success with the Cowboys.

Otherwise Parcells was by far at least our 3rd best HC which would include his stints elsewhere..

I flat out missed the Tuna,.. thought i typed it but didn't ..

In what world is Jason Garrett above Switzer?

I recognize that Switzer had incredible talent. But he still won a super bowl and went to an NFC title game in another season. More than garret ever accomplished.

Naah, sorry, but everyone knows Switzer was just a tattoo caretaker along for a ride, and this team won off a SB more off it's coordinators, asst coaches and uniquenesss of it's core players.

" Bullet " Bob Hayes revolutionized how the NFL defenses had to play him.
the NFL had to switch to zone defenses to even have a chance to be able to handle his Olympic world class speed .
True,
Both were great HOF players.

I’d put Harvey at the top of the DE list. He was a beast. I’d also have Erik Williams at the top of the OT list. Before the car wreck he was the most dominant and feared lineman in the league. I realize the wreck derailed his career quite a bit, but I’m not sure there has ever been a more dominant tackle than him.

Another fan who fails to recognize our 1st QB inducted into Ring of Honor leading us to our 1st 2 NFL championship games.
No, I didn't forget. I just don't want to start another online fight with all of you delicate Romosexuals.

If it were up to me, most definitely I would include Dandy Don Meredith in the Top 5, and knock Romo out of the Top 5. The problem with it would start another online fight, so thank you for forcing my hand into starting it, Greg. Sheesh.

Screw Romo. You seem to forget I wasn’t one of them. I just wasn’t a Romo troll like you.

I wouldn’t put either of them in top 5.

What most don’t want to talk about is Switzer cost us at least one other championship. I don’t really blame him but rather blame Jethro for beginning our Puppet era. Switzer was the first.
