Hard Knocks is showing what is important to the franchise

Yep . Jethro had nothing to do with this . But he always welcomes the spotlight. As Denver rejected and NY spoke out against it as well.
Denver rejected???? WTH does that mean? And the Jets whined???? who cares. If Jerry cried about how much he hates it, would that make you feel better?

Well, when you have the best overall talent not as much effect. And then there was 94 which did cost us. So there’s that. 96 had plenty of distractions that cost us too.
94????? cmon... so it was the media attention that had us turn the ball over 23 times in the 1st quarter against the 49ers as well as the no call on Deion mugging Irvin????

Why would that be inconsistent though? We got both slots due to the team's popularity above all other things. Probably got the extra pre-season game due to the same thing.

When is the last time the Cowboys played on that Thursday night game to open the season?????

I swear if a bunch of Frisco High school kids with some video cameras wanted to make an “access show” about the Cowboys, they would be given the full red carpet. Cameras, microphones, strippers, his wife Gene’s artwork and the cash register are JJ’s crack.

Because it means nothing at the end of the day...like I have issues with this team and front office no doubt. But the last of them is us getting more exposure....I just don't think exposure is a excuse for this team to suck.

We are passed going "under the radar". Some fans hope they can....this ain't the team for it. The Cowboys will never get the pleasure of going under the radar just like the Lakers and Yankees won't. This team needs to embrace it.....

Yah Hard Knocks will be the reason the cowboys are terrible this season lol. Not their all time bad defense or anything like that.
I don't think it's an all or nothing type thing. It's always death by 1000 cuts with the Cowboys. The sentiment most have is that Hard Knocks may not make or break the season but it's another distraction that a team with their first full in-person offseason with their HC doesn't need. Especially after last season. And then you have people like Jaylon and others they may be more concerned with showing off for HBO than meaningful practice reps. Again, not all or nothing but it's the little things that end up killing us and are the difference between 8-9 and 11-6 and potentially the playoffs.

I love how we are excited to be doing hard knocks even thought he restrictions are as follows:

1. If you have done it in the last 10 years you do not have to do it. This clearly implies that it is not something you want to do.

2. If you have a first year head coach. Again this clearly implies it is not something you want to do. You are terrible and starting over we do not wish this additional pain on you.

3. You were in the playoffs the last 2 years. Yet again this implies that it is not something you want to do if you are a real time that competes for a championship every year.

Yet here we go again the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the show. Is it just me or does everyone else see how this is clearly illustrating what is important to this franchise.
I see your point and agree, but its Kool Aid season, and we are currently undefeated.

Thanks.

Go ahead and explain it better then. Your point is that Jerry loves this because it is exposure. That's true. But so does every other owner in professional sports, so it's an irrelevant complaint.

And save me the "If you don't get it now, you never will."

Every other owner is not featured on hardknocks ...... I guarantee you that Jerry will be.

When was the last time we were on the defending champ's home schedule where they didn't already have a proven winner on their schedule to open with that would garner the interest of fans on a large scale?

Okay. It seemed like you were drawing difference to people complaining about this and the opener like it was contradictory but you just meant they were whining about anything "extra."

HBO's selection process for Hard Knocks is as fabricated as what is seen on Survivor, Big Brother and professional wrestling. Training camp is training camp. 32 NFL teams had training camps during 16 seasons of the show. More than half the league's training camps have never been featured.

The concept may have been brilliant two decades ago. Time has dulled it. HBO should drop the fake pretense, enter into an agreement with Jerry Jones, and rename its annual show Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys.

60% of the league's fanbase could not care less. They will not be missing out on anything. Their teams' training camps have never graced Hard Knocks anyway, lol.

:hammer:

Barnum Jones never met a Circus he did not like :(

Why does it bother you that I care? If you don't share my passion for the team's best interest then just piss off.

Believe me and the thousands spent every year share your passion. However you seem miserable, not passionate

People think a few guys with cameras are going to be some major distraction… really?

These guys are used to playing and coaching in stadiums filled with 80,000 people, in front of potentially millions more on TV.

I doubt HBO wanting to do a two minute interview with McCarthy between his first and second breakfast will be that big of a distraction.

Ohh yeah man sorry I misunderstood you yeah that's exactly what I meant.

Why do you keep saying that they are implying this it is not something you want to do with every rule?

My question to you is.....................WHY would any owner NOT want to be on the show? Its like free advertising.
