it was always a catch on the field called catch everyone who saw it called it a catch only the refs reverse the on field call to no catch an forever robbed us of a potential run.

.he made football moves after he caught it dove for TD and it came loose but never truly touched the ground and even if its not td its at the 1 yard line first and goal..

they changed the rule now because these athletes can make sudden moves while securing the ball with hand or up against body part with one hand and dive...just because the refs did not understand he caught it and at the same time was diving for endzone..

it does still burn..we were robbed..

thanks for reminding me and making me as mad as it was yesterday. The act of the catch was already made he secured it then dove

it literally changed the legacy of witten, dez and romo...and even garret potentially at least getting a chance in a NFCCG appearance..

The absurd NFL catch rule deemed it an incompletion, I was definitely upset by it but I'm over it now. Not really interested in the Dez Bryant 20/14 documentary, I'm looking forward to training camp and seeing what story lines unfold for the 20/21 Dallas Cowboys. I hope it's a story we can all enjoy.

Thanks for the memories #88

Still sickening to watch. Romo was blessed, blessed, blessed and then at the same time it’s like the God’s would just pull the Prize away. Storybook Cinderella career/journey and at the same time heart breaking defeats. Still a itch to watch…

100% catch. Only way it wasn’t, is if they ruled it incomplete on the field and couldn’t overturn it.

Rule on the field was a catch … no way they should have overturned the call
this sack of poop over ruled it.

Yah but we dont necessarily win at that point. We have the ball first and goal on the one. What is the score at that point with the ball on the 1 and how much time is left?

Tony had a great game in GB. He peaked. Dez peaked. our team peaked at the right time and saw there season get stolen by 1 man on high. For me, that was going to be a SB appearance in 2014. No one had an answer for our oline and Dez. We had it all working for us...it was clicking. Garrett did a good job that year.

it was a magical year that the refs stole from us. PERIOD summed up, wrap it with a bow. We were unstoppable on the ground and had a great air attack. The defense was average at best.
Dez caught it for sure. What’s not for sure is believing that avg Dallas defense could have stopped Aaron Rodgers with 4 min left on the clock. Assuming we score a TD there, it’s 28-26. All Rodgers has to do is get them in position for a FG. Wish we could have seen that play out. Maybe we win- but it was no guarantee.

It was a catch, obviously.

However, with the way the rule was written it was always going to be incomplete. I saw it in real time and knew they would overturn it. It was a dumb rule that they were enforcing.

What I don't understand, and it is hard to fault Dez because he is trying, but just catch the ball and fall down. We would have first and goal at the one no. No rush.

Anyways, while I think he caught it, even if we score. I have no confidence our defense was going to hold on for the win.

agree. But we were robbed of the opportunity. As average as the D was that year, they showed during the year that they could rise up in key spots and get a crucial stop. They never got that chance. That was not football...that was skullduggery.

doesnt matter it took away our chance to prove that theory.

the one thing we do know is they took away shot at winning, ripped it from our cold dead hands..

that type of catch could have inspired the rest of the team to really take it to packers those final minutes as the uplift rush you get from that type of play typically picks everyone up....instead they took the wind from our sails..

exactly a play like that would have gave us all the energy and momentum. That can inspire team to just brig it all 120% those final minutes. Coaches as well..
