yeah, don't really like the idea of CeeDee as the starting PR. Too much of a chance for injury with a bullseye on his chest. Maybe late in the game needing a good return. oh well, what do i know? just say i warned you Cowboys.

Over his dead body!
Here you have one of the most promising blues chip WRs in the NFL and some idiot coach floats this crazy around?
Buster, you are one crushing tackle or one twisted knee away from losing one of our main spark plugs on the O.
Is fassel senile?
"It's going to be revolved around what we think CeeDee is good at..."
Are you stupid?
Ceedee is bloody good at WR, blokes. Do we need this weasel to tell us otherwise?

What if Fassel just thinks this is a sane environment where the coaching staff will decide stuff like this but now that Jerry's aware he's about to get an introduction to the crazy? Our unique structure says that Lamb won't be returning kicks.

Stay tuned. He literally said camp will be revolved around Lamb as the returner. If he's not out there week 1 you know what happened.

Don't like this, but what else can they do there are no returners on the roster. Pollard isn't a returner he shouldn't be returning, someone hopefully steps up eventually.

Punt returns are following the fullback into extinction. Soon to be nothing but fair catches.
The punters are getting so good with hangtime and distance and the gunners are all speedy.
Pretty much try to block someone and it is a ten-yard penalty on punts.

I have strong reservations about such a valuable offensive member being exposed to such hazardous duty. Seems like a specialist who isn't nearly as essential to the success of the team would be far more practical. I wouldn't be surprised if better judgment eventually takes precedence. We'll see.

Do punt returners get hurt on average more than receivers?

I wanted to ask this as well, but I was afraid the conversation would do nothing but devolve into memorable plays where someone did get hurt and a whole lot of ignoring the other thousands of punt returns over the years where someone didn't get hurt.

Thanks for doing for the heavy lifting on this one.

Which brings the question….how many times do guys even get hurt returning punts?

I tried to look it up, but couldn't find the numbers. I would think it's relatively low, but the examples we have stick with us, so we think it's higher than it is.
